"Server was kind, that was it. We had Ox knee soup and Ox bone and brisket soup. Soup tasted like coffee cream. Ox knee was very hard and looked very old with dried brown color. Should have taken a picture. I couldn't eat even one piece of Ox knee.. all became leftover. The other soup was about the same. I usually like the fish cake in the korean restaurant. But, I had to stop eating fish cake after a few pieces. obviously, it was not fresh and tasted bad. My stomach was a little disturbed when I got home. We go to Master Kim's BBQ on Las Vegas Blvd. all the time. But, probably the owner's magic is not shining on this new restaurant. We will never go back."
"New restaurant, Bossam is so so Gamjatang is the best. Alcohol is not available yet"
"Master Kim's Tofu House offers an authentic and delightful Korean dining experience located right across the street from Durango Resort. The standout dishes include al dente cold noodles with a perfect balance of sweet and savory elements, rich and umami-packed gamja tang with tender pork neck bones, and the galbi tofu soup paired with LA galbi, featuring tender beef and well-seasoned broth. The banchan selection impresses with its freshness and variety, all at a reasonable price point. Service at Master Kim's is swift and attentive, making dining there a breeze. The modern and trendy ambiance, coupled with a comfortable noise level from Kpop music, creates a vibrant yet relaxing setting. Casual attire is the norm, and the convenience of shared parking in a large shopping center adds to the appeal. Master Kim's Tofu House stands out not just for its flavorful dishes but also for its excellent service and welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking to authentic Korean cuisine in Las Vegas. "Best Korean restaurant ever!! So delicious and authentic. We wish we lived here, because we’d want to come back every week. Highly recommend the soft tofu and Sulung Tang. Excellent and very generous banchan as well—we loved the kimchi. Thanks to our server Bayu and manager Nigel!"
"Just opened today! This girl and tofu soup go way back to my K-town days in Los Angeles. I knew that Master Kim’s planned to open a tofu soup place in Shanghai Plaza but in checking to see if they had opened, I noticed this one had opened. Upon arriving, it turned out they opened TODAY! Maybe it’s due to the experience they have from operating the fabulous Master Kim’s BBQ across the parking lot, for the first day, this place worked like clockwork. The interior and ambiance is upscale and nicely done for a tofu house and the menu is just jam-packed with my favorites ranging from sullungtang, galbi-jjim, bossam, and various stews meant to be shared between several eaters, like intestine jungol or seafood jungol. It being just two of us, I had to make hard choices. We ordered a small bossam and mandu (dumplings) for appetizers. KK got the tofu soup and galbi combo, and given I wanted galbi too, I got an intestine tofu soup and galbi as well. The food is FABULOUS. The dumplings ($6.99) were crispy and had a homemade taste to them, served with a soy sauce-based sauce that was interesting but a little sweet and savory. We ordered a small bossam ($18.99) — and this was on point. The radish and green onion spicy mixes (like kimchi) were delicious and the pork was perfectly steamed. The combinations, based on both opting for galbi, were $24.99 each. The serving of soup was nicely portioned and a good amount of galbi for the price, given I know what short ribs cost these days. The soup is really quite good. Seasoned perfectly, I got the spiciest they offered and it was quite comforting. Everyone is so nice and attentive here, and went above and beyond for us. If they hadn’t told me it was their first day, I’d have not known. They don’t have alcohol yet so keep that in mind when going (as of 12/29/24). While they have awesome dishes to consume with alcohol in the future, for now, just go for a meal. (I am so in for 곱창전골 & SOJU in the future.) A big, delicious and satisfying meal! If you want to drink, go to the Master Kim’s BBQ to drink with your meal. One tip for the restaurant is that the tofu soup has to come out hotter. That egg won’t cook if that soup isn’t bubbling over and splashing all over when it hits the table. Oh, one more tip: With this menu and when your soju is available, you need to open to much later hours, in my opinion. All you need is some soondae offering and it’s the perfect drinking hole! All in all, it is a fabulous dining experience and we are thrilled to have a great tofu house in Las Vegas! Welcome and thanks for a great dining experience!"
