"I have loooved Veggy Street for years. But today I was home sick, I ordered delivery and the food was just not up to par. The veggie chicken in the chicken tacos was very hard with barely any sauce and the yucca fries came with no sauce at all. :( the Zombie smoothie was very good today and helped me feel better but I hope they can figure out a way to be more consistent with the food and what it normally comes with."
"I have always loved this place. Today, I ordered a salad, but I'm not sure if it was expired. But after I took home, I had to literally remove welted and old lettuce, I ended up with no salad. Honestly, I was very upsetting to have paid 9.99 for it. I'm not sure if it makes me want to ever go back!"
"Price: I’m always excited to try new places, especially places that have vegetarian options to promote a healthier lifestyle. After tasting the food…price point should be reconsidered. Cost and taste is outside of other vegan restaurants. Food: I got 4 things.. Bacon Mac & Cheese: dry and no flavor. I tried to put salt and pepper on it and it didn’t help :( Ultimately ate about a quarter of it. Falafel Bites: Dry and overcooked..see photo :( Jalapeño Bites: These are more jalapeño cheese bites. It can use actual jalapeños in there. Black Cherry Tea: not too sweet, had a decent flavor. Unfortunately, this was the best thing we ordered and the least expensive..a $4 drink. Service: HIEN was awesome! What I spent on food would’ve made a wonderful tip for just her! She was kind, talk to us about the menu, shared recommendations honestly.. my favorite part of the whole experience! Environment: Restaurant was clean, their tables were the same as my sit/stand office desk at home lol. The quotes on the wall were cool too NTT [[Next Time Try]]: Maybe the churro ice cream, but I think I’m going to pass on this one."
"One of the great pleasures of living in a foodie town is just dropping by any strip center and trying out a new, locally owned and operated eatery. The owner is usually there to make sure you are treated like royalty and the food is just how s/he wants it to be. Fun! That's how I discovered Veggy Street. This is not a vegeterian restaurant; it's a vegan one. ALL the ingredients are 100 percent plant based. Up front: the hamburger didn't taste anything like the real thing. But it was absolutely delicious in a different way. I had the Mea Culpa Bacon Burger. How much further away from the original can you get? All the stuff on top was what made it exceptional. The restaurant uses hydroponically grown butter lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. Then there's a layer of guacamole, atop faux bacon. The sandwich is littered with crispy garbanzo crumbs. There's a slathering of tahini covered by a blanket of pepper jack cheese. All wedged into a pretzel bun. There was a fireworks of flavors. I didn't miss the real meat part. The eatery has many varieties of hamburger. Veggy Street has hot dogs too! In the winter lentil soup is on the menu. This is one spicy mother. The thick soup is topped with raw onions and fresh cilantro. A bowl would certainly keep you warm. There are wonderful smoothies too. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and committed to the cause. Our person had great patience explaining everything to me, the committed carnivore. In case you are in a bad mood, read the inspirational sayings on the wall. All explain why eating vegan is THE healthiest thing to do. There is a small patio for outdoor dining when the weather permits. I am not going to give up meat. But I will be back because hey I like doing my part to save the planet as long as the food is fantastic!"
"Worth the trip! I went well out of my way to come here and am not disappointed! So many delicious options! I got a veggie burger, yucca fries, and a vanilla milkshake. (I've been working out consistently and am HUNGRY) My table has a place where you can charge your phone!! The atmosphere is lovely. The food is AWESOME. I will definitely be back!"
