"I wasn’t a guy that would go to the dentist like that, but when I found Dr. Banks six (6) years ago he made me feel that like I can trust a dentist. Dr. Bank’s is kind, gentle and know his stuff. I will definitely recommend him to others!!"
"Very disappointing dental clinic for Veterans. Started last year Nov. and until now dentures are still NOT done. Clinic will not finish the job. Front office very Rude specially name Mercedes and will not scheduled for appointment! After charging the VA for upper and lower dentures clinic don't want to finish their work. VA always give prior authorization for reline regarding dentures! But clinic keep telling customer will call but never did. When I tried to follow up clinic get upset and start telling lies. WILL NEVER GO BACK! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE..."
"The dentist - Dr Banks - is amazing and professional. He dose very good work and will not try and talk you into needed work. He's been very good about diagnosis and treating issues. That being said - Front desk staff is horrible. They are hard to get bills from that my account will accept for repayment. And worst of all - when I called to reschedule an appointment because of Strep (you know - being a responsible person and NOT subjecting the hygienist to a highly contagious disease) they would not rescheduled me for almost 4 months. I even asked if they had an other option than exposing the worker to a contagious illness and was told no, I either showed up or I waited. No offers to put me on a cancellation list or try and work this in before the end of the year. This is not the first time I've had issues scheduling - I go for cleaning every 4 months and they are often booked further than that out. (I called the Dentist my daughter sees. They got me in the 1st week of 2019, when my insurance changes to the one they take.)"
"If I could give the office staff a negative five I would. The work for my crown began over three months ago. The office staff failed to follow up with the endodontist that they had referred me to complete my root canal prolonging the process by two months. On the morning that I was scheduled for my temporary crown I burned the tip of my tongue drinking coffee. At my appointment the dental assistant who prepared the temporary crown unnecessarily pricked the tip of my tongue three times with the tooth cleaning pick causing extreme pain. (When I asked her not to do that today she disappeared.) Fast forward to my appointment for the permanent crown today. When I arrived, I called Care Credit to activate my card and was told that the card was closed because I had not activated it on time. I asked about my existing account and the ability to waive the interest for one year and was told that Dr Banks office would need to call them. I hung up the phone and asked Mercedes, the front desk personnel, to call them as they'd asked. The first words out of her mouth were "it's not my job." Then she began to explain that all they in the front office was swipe the cards (as though this were an ordinary debit or credit card) and that she didn't have any knowledge about Care Credit's promotions. I begged her to call and she refused. By the time I sat down in the dentist chair I was thoroughly stressed out. I needed to know my card number to pay them for the visit and I needed to know whether or not I'd be charged interest for doing so. I asked Dr Banks if I could reschedule the appointment due to my stress levels and he advised me that I could. I approached Mercedes and Brooke at the front desk to reschedule and asked them what they'd found out. They advised me that they still knew nothing more than swiping the credit card. At that point I decided to call Care Credit on my own. During the conversation with Care Credit, Brooke threatened to call the police on me for not leaving. Mind you, it was 4:45 in the afternoon. When I asked for an office manager I was told there wasn't one. When I asked to speak with Dr Banks I was told that he was gone for the day. I left and asked for a referral to complete my crown work. They told me to call on Monday. It was a horrific experience with the staff. They are ignorant (in terms of how to help their patients pay their bill) and unwilling to help in any kind of way if it goes outside of their perceived job duties."
