"I have a restored ’67 Chevelle that had an intermittent ignition failure. You can forget about places like the dealer or most auto-service chains since they have an age limit on the cars that they will accept, meaning that they are only willing to provide a quick and generic assembly line service function. I liked the attitude of the owner when I called and decided to let them deal with the brakes and shocks as well. Both the owner and his technician have ongoing muscle car projects and are well informed by choice. The restorers apparently had forgotten about an upper shock mount in the rear that had rotted out and then been badly jury-rigged with scraps welded in, which was the cause of an annoying rear clatter. Rather than just slapping a new shock on, Star cut out the rotten jury-rig and repaired the mount back to as-new. I was charged about half of what I thought it would be. They kept the car protected and inside overnight and when I went to pick it up, the Chevelle was completely repaired, cleaned, and waxed. I feel very fortunate to have found these guys as I think that they not only performed a quality repair at a fair price, but I also felt that they treated my car like their own. So if you are tired of generic lackluster and apathetic auto repair shops, Star Auto is your huckleberry."
