"A salesman at the store was rude to my parents after they had already conducted business with Rick himself. Rick came to their house to measure out what amount of materials they would need and then when they went to the store to choose a design the salesman treated them very unfairly. First he insulted their intelligence, implied that they “wouldn’t be able to afford” a certain design and had an overall unwelcoming and childish attitude. My parents are very kind people and treat everyone they meet with respect until disrespected, therefore the $5,000 they had planned to spend here will go to a different company. They would not take the time to argue with this man and they preferred to take their business elsewhere rather than listen to his bickering. I’m halfway inclined to go teach this salesman a lesson in how to treat people decently. And Rick, If he were my employee he would’ve been fired a long time ago."

"We just had luxury vinyl plank installed in our house and it was a wonderful experience. The work crew were terrific, they arrived on time, ready to work and did an excellent job. We now have floors that will last, are easy to maintain, and will look great for years."

"is there less than one star? contacted Mark regarding an apartment makeover. A small project but important to us. Went to store picked out the carpet, it was in stock as well as the linoleum remnant. We told Mark we would be out of town until after Labor Day. Called Mark 9/4/18 and said we would like to schedule the install for around 9/10/18. Mark could not remember who we were. Mark said he would call back in 1/2 hour after he reviewed his "paperwork" He did call back and said the carpet that he was "holding" for us was sold and it would be another week before he would get more. He insulted my wife with a crude joke he thought funny. Word to the wise - there are more and much better flooring stores in Carson City. DO NOT GO TO RICKS FOR FLOORING!"

"We had a horrible experience with Rick's Floor Covering. We went with them because we needed the carpet installed on a specific day as we were moving in the next day and they told us they could do it. We even based our carpet choice on what they told us they could get installed on that day. Despite confirming with them over and over that the carpet would be installed on that day, it was not. First, their installer did not show up in the morning and they were frantically trying to find him and telling us they were going to give us a discount. They finally found him and he arrived at our house after 12pm. He told us that Rick's had informed him that he had three days to install the carpet and he could not get it done that day. When we returned less than four hours later, he was gone and there was not a single piece of carpet installed in our house. When we arrived the next day at 1:30pm, not a single room had been carpeted. He did manage to finish the job about 6pm that day. We then received a bill from Rick's showing the full price, without the promised discount. When we spoke with our carpet salesman, he argued with us that our job was a 2-day job (we had been told it would be done in 1 day and the installer had been told that it was a 3-day job) and no discount was reflected because it was completed in 2 days. Rick of Rick's Floor Covering then called us back and offered us an 11% discount. Considering that we paid movers over $2,000 and they could not put a single box or piece of furniture in the house where it was suppose to go because the carpet was not installed as promised, the discount did not account for much. We gave them 2 stars only because the carpet looks nice now that it is finally installed and because Rick himself apologized to us, but we really wish we had gone with a different flooring company."
