"We called them to get a ride home from Gold Dust Casino at 11:21. We told them we were on the money tree side. We waited until midnight to call and see where it was at. Mind you they told us they would be there shortly. When we called to check at midnight the dispatch lady said they would be there in 1 minute. So we waited 10 minutes and called dispatch again. After talking to this lady she also told us the cab was 1 minute away. So we again waited 10 min and called again. This lady informed us that someone had taken our cab. So they did not listen to where we told them we were because we were standing out there in the cold this whole time. Mind you it has now been an hour! They said they woudld send someone out to get us right away. FINALLY the taxi shows up #165. He showed up on the correct side of Gold Dust. He was very nice and safely drove us home. If you are going to ask not only where you are picking up a customer but where you are dropping them off as well, wouldn't something tell you that you picked up the wrong person/that person wasnt the right one that got in your car when you drop them off at a completely different place? And at that point as the driver shoudnt you let dispach know that you were lied to and did not pick up the right people? And then when we call to check on where our ride is after an HOUR of waiting in the cold a simple apology would be nice. We do not care about your gripe of people taking other peoples cab. We simply just want to get to where we are going and not be delayed any longer."

"If you're in a hurry, expect to be late. The phone wait times can last as long as 45-minutes before someone picks up to help you. After you've booked a ride, you could be standing around waiting for more than 2-hours before a cab shows up. Most recently, I waited well over 2-hours outside Smith's, only to hit up a friend coming out of the store to give me a lift home. To make matters worse, the credit/debit card readers in half their cabs don't work: Cash Only! A real problem for those who don't carry cash. Also, every cab I've been in has had the "check engine" light (or other dashboard warning) glowing brightly, which doesn't instill great confidence in the passengers. Don't get me wrong... the drivers and dispatchers are great people and they take good care of you as a passenger. It's a shame there isn't a secondary cab company in Carson City to help pick up the slack during busy times. Cabs from Tahoe and Reno would be helpful in eliminating the horrendous wait times, as would someone whose sole job was to be on the phone dealing with people calling in for rides (right now, the phone dispatchers also deal with shift changes and many other distractions that keep people waiting on "hold" forever). I've spoken to others who rely on Capitol Cab, as I do, and they don't speak highly of the service. Hey, Capitol Cab, it's time to get your act together!"
