"My wife and I live in Carson City but went to the grand opening of the Odeon Saloon back in February of 2023 and have been coming back ever since and mainly because the place is just so darn cool! We love that it's in downtown Dayton, filled with history, is fun to be in and Joanna makes an outstanding Picon Punch - one of the best we've had in all of Northern Nevada. If there's a downside to this place, it's that they don't serve food but fortunately, J's Old Town Bistro is just a few short steps away and they have killer Italian food. If you're into old town saloons, this is a stop you have to make."
"I think everyone should experience this hidden historical gem , the old fashioned interior is out of this world..... The owner George is a pretty classy cat...line dancing and square dancing if that meets your fancy in Dayton right at the base of Virginia City. You won't be disappointed...beer lines are clean and fresh tasting, the owner recently put in all new beer drafts ..."
"I wanted to give a shout out for this business. What a great building! 1863 is when it was constructed, that makes it older than the State of Nevada! Step back in time and get a glimpse of what the old west was like as you step into this remarkable, noble structure. Rest your arms on the same bar that Mark Twain used to when he was living here in Nevada. I love places like this because of their history. It will definitely be worth you while to stop by and enjoy this great place and support a great local family while doing it. Invite your friends to meet you there, take a tour and enjoy some libations while you are there!! Bill Fairbanks Culligan Water Commercial & Industrial Water Specialist"
"We love going to the Odeon Saloon! Historical building, fantastic atmosphere. George the owner is simply a great guy. We went in the first time on St. Patty's Day. They provided a traditional corned beef & cabbage meal including Irish Soda Bread, and offered a variety of Irish inspired drinks. It was so much fun! The Odeon Saloon offers historical lectures, line dancing & live music. There are certainly Irish Eyes smiling here!!"
"This place has the best energy in Northern Nevada. I love that they’ve kept the same style from when it was built back in the 1860s. George and David make a mean drink too. Will be back for more, no doubt."
