"They took the place of our old HOA, and these guys are absolutely terrible, no warning to some unspoken up charge on bills, no warning for it for preplanned budgeting, I've request paper bills and emails for my bills haven't received one bill on either since they became our HOA. When you call no one answers, no one calls back, nothing. As I am a single home owner trying to get my life in order is hard enough and with these guys unexpectedly sending up charges with no warnings.... yeah makes living a hell of a lot worse. These guys are terrible. I've heard nothing but bad reviews throughout the neighborhood. Bring back the old company or leave and bring one that's actually good at their management capabilities"
"Worst management company. HOA hired them Jan 1st 2023, what a mistake. As a homeowner in a townhome community I would deffinately NOT recommend them. They had a large project at my home where they tore up my entire yard, sidewalks, etc. They had NO plan to the repairs needed and NO contractors lined up even tho they knew of this project months in advance. The project was completed Sept 13th. It is now Oct 17th. I still have no sidewalks, I have several long wires/phone lines that go to several other units sticking up out of the ground, and my driveway is still torn up. I can't replant my plants that I had to dig up in my gardens or they would have been burried, I have a mud pit for a yard. Communication is poor, if any. When you call their office all you get is voicemail and no one ever calls you back. When you use the portal, and email them, no one responds. I have spoken to many neighbors and they have the same problems, no one responds. Total incompetence and NOT recommended. NO response from NCM is needed as it will not matter what they have to say. The facts are the facts."
"New Concepts is a BY FAR SUPERIOR management company as compared to any other HOA management. Probably not only in the state, but probably the nation! New Concepts actually cares for their Customers. The property manager respond to emails in a timely manner, answer/return calls, and are always in a cheerful mood. I have lived in several HOA's throughout my life in both Arizona and California. I have experienced what bad management is like at other companies, with no calls returned, and no email responses. I moved into Union Park in Lake Elmo MN last Fall to be around my daughter's more. It is cold in MN but I'm happy I came back! While living at Union Park, I have worked with Jada Hemsworth as a property manager. She has been so helpful to me of explaining the process. I feel bad for everything she has to deal with at this HOA, I have a few neighbors that just don't seem to understand how things at an HOA work. The snow plowing was incredible this winter for how much snow we got. Growing up as a kid in Minnesota I only remember a couple times we got as much snow as we got last year. I was pleased with how fast snow plowing was for two MUCH snow there actually was! Heck, if we ever get that much snow ever again, I'm moving back to California LOL, bye bye Minnesota!! Anyways, you guys do an incredible job with managing this place, please don't ever quit! And thanks for the great service. Looking forward to settling in here for a while. I want you to know that as the silent type, we appreciate your patience and perseverance!!!"
"I live at the Union Park townhomes. This company is a joke. They're absolutely useless as a "management company." It just snowed two days in a row and no one showed up once to remove the snow from our driveway. A winter storm advisory went out well beforehand so it isn't like they didn't know what was coming. My car wouldn't even make it up my driveway and I ended up shoveling myself. Not necessarily a problem, but what am I paying dues for then? And as the pictures clearly show, the snow had obviously already stopped, with multiple residents out and about shoveling their own driveways. The "dog park" is covered in rocks and pebbles. It's really an afterthought and not an amenity. We also had a major hail storm back in May. It is now December and they still haven't shown up to replace the damaged siding on our unit. When I emailed them, all they said was they were still shopping around the for best prices. Seriously, for seven months? And last but not least, they still have the audacity to email and say they will be increasing our fees next year. This email came on a New Concept Management Group letterhead with a clear signoff from them at the bottom, yet they'll try to offset the blame elsewhere. Go figure."
"10/5 addendum: thank you for your reply. Much of the information you gave here is information that had not been shared before today. Water issues at this site go back more than just weeks or months. It’s been years. So rushing into a “quick fix” isn’t applicable here. There really hasn’t been any communication. The unit involved is that of my S.O. and there’s been zero communication with him either. Regarding your advice to attend board meeting is valuable. I’ve missed only one in the last 3 plus years and that is because I was working at the hospital. Please address communication issues instead of insisting they don’t exist. They do. Standing water in the Donegal South development in Maple Grove has been reported to NCM multiple times over several months. Not only are they failing to find a fix to the problem, but Jeanna C. Refuses to even reply to emails and voicemails. Homeowners pay your wages. Reply to issues. Fix problems. It’s your job."
