"I highly recommend you do not stop at this Shell station if you do stop use the restroom only do not purchase anything be warned! Their prices are absurd and they're not listed when you get up to the register they will throw an absurd price at you, talk about gouging! I purchased a medium sized coffee and I was charged $4.84!!! Hopefully more and more customers will read these reviews in their business will slide into the abyss they deserve it. I was going to leave the coffee on the counter and walk out when I was told the price but you know how that goes when you need caffeine but I will not stop there again first and last time and I hope that if you stop you do not purchase anything be warned."

"While my Tesla was charging I went in to get a small Starbucks espresso in a can… went up to the register and found out it was $5.99! Felt I was being charged significantly high, I declined to get it. My son picked up an Altoid and I thought no more than $4. Again, the cashier said $5.99. I just couldn’t… not because I can’t afford it, I felt I was being price gouged. Please look into this business… I don’t think it’s right to take advantage of people."

"This shell gas station is a convenient last gas stop before going into Dumont Dunes. Fortunately we don’t need to use the restrooms in this facility nor buy anything from the store. They also have separate Diesel pumps and Tesla charging stations."

"Do me a favor and avoid this disgusting business. Wait for Barstow or Baker if you can. The price gouging is sickening. Doesn't post prices so you won't know what the hell things cost. You'd also think that for those prices they'd keep the restrooms clean? Oh hell naw. Cheapa$$es."

"The only thing here worth stopping for is the over thought out restroom. Like most of Baker, this place is a tourist trap. They do have EV chargers of both types. But at a cost. Stopped to get a fountain soda, but I couldn't get one because all the restaurants in this place were closed at 9:30 pm. So, no soda, in fact, the whole shopping area looked like an afterthought. Very small and not alot to choose from. Then you have the high price of all they do stock."
