"We replaced our 30-year old furnace with a Bryant three years ago. In one day they replaced the entire system, including the big PVC vent/intake pipes to the exterior and programming the wifi thermostat. I know it has been three years, but I do remember the experience because of how thorough the salesman was in helping us find the perfect energy efficient solution. It is also a big purchase and hopefully a once every 20-30 year replacement. Since then I signed up for their heating and AC inspection and tune-up services (separate visits). AC was tuned up a month ago. The AC person noted there is a new capacitor on the outside unit. I did that myself two summers ago when the AC went out but Standard was booked solid for three weeks. Cost me $12 for the part plus gas to drive to and from a parts store in Bloomington (thank you YouTube for instructions). I bring this up because urgent scheduling can be an issue... ... as we again found out two weeks ago when the furnace would not turn on. It went out on a cold ~40 degree Saturday, but could not come out until Tuesday. They had to replace the furnace circuit board, and did have the part on the truck. Fully covered under warranty. I guess I should be irritated that went out at all, and cursing that a furnace even has one these days. It does seem like the unit is never on, which is the point of these high efficiency systems, verses the old one that was always on and roaring away. The service person was very nice and explained what was happening. Basically an on/off switch was open/closing so gast the heat would not tuen on. He also defended the AC tuneup person who was out here a few weeks earlier and tinkering with the system, saying the two systems are separate and would not be tested. I replace the one-year AprilAir Model 213 filters every six months per the recommendation of the sales rep because we have pets and allergies. My only regret is not paying them $500 extra to wire and set up my new AprilAir humidifier system. I thought I could do it myself, but upon opening it and seeing the instructions, it is way above my basic abilities. So the original manual humidity controller is how I still operate it. :( I am not going to ding them for the service delays or the faulty circuit board. Overall I am impressed with their work and recommend them. I do think their service is a notch above say Minnegasco ServicePlus. I highly recommend this company."
