I asked them to just check it out quick to see if it was a simple problem or something worse. They got me in right away showed me what was going on and showed me how to fix it on my own if it happens again. Very very friendly people and very knowledgeable. Unprofessional, rude, disrespectful to customers, misleading about progress, and overall the worst run company I’ve ever seen. "A Texas trip in March revealed a stuck valve in my motor. I chose SLP Marine in Lake Park to fix it which turned out to be a MASSIVE mistake. SLP sent the power head to Arnold Motor to have the valve fixed, which Arnold did in a timely manner. The issues with SLP Marine then began. Over 5.5 months I made 7 phone calls to SLP asking for an update and only 1 was returned, SLP wasted 3 weeks of time forgetting to set an account with Arnold, so Arnold withheld shipment of the powerhead back to SLP. I found this out myself and had to notify SLP about their mistake. Once SLP received my powerhead, they then ordered gaskets needed to put the head back on which should have been done from the start, but now wasted an additional month of time. Now, after having all parts for 2 months and my boat being there since April 1st, SLP has failed to reassemble my motor and have it running even after Arnold made the main repair. I’ve asked multiple times about a timeframe and SLP refused to give me one. I heard of others being charged higher then anticipated so I asked for an estimate and again SLP refused. Additionally, over 5.5 months, my boat was parked outside in the mud and uncovered for 1 month. I found this out and put the cover on myself. It was moved a week after so I assumed it was inside. Today I was told it was inside but found out it was moved to the back of the property where I couldn’t see it, so I was lied too, and it’s been outside for 2.5 months. The trailer now has rust, stickers and seats are faded, and there’s bird poop and spider webs covering my boat. So after all that, my boat is in worse condition then when I brought it to SLP in the first place. After missing an entire summer of fishing with my friends and family and the opportunity to compete in tournaments, along with the lies, incredibly poor communication, and lack of respect I receiving from SLP marine, and still an unfixed boat, I lost all trust in SLP and picked up my boat and all the pieces of the motor and brought it home to be assembled elsewhere."
