"We had Nick repair our 8/0 sliding patio door in July 2022. It is a Scherer Brothers door which is no longer manufactured. He was originally recommended to us by Scherer Brothers, because he can custom rebuild sashes/wood parts on windows and doors. We could not open the sliding door all of the way and suspected moisture intrusion damage at the base of the stationary door. Nick removed and did a thorough inspection of both glass/wood doors and explained various options of addressing our problem without pressure to select one option over another. Although there was not significant damage, we chose to have parts completely replaced to allow for the longest life of the doors. He did a great job replacing the sill as well as a bottom rail on the stationary door. He also made some adjustments to the door handle and lock, and added new weather strip. The door works better than it ever has before. We just need to stain and varnish the new wood rail. We are so impressed with Nick's work! In addition to being talented, he is a good, honest person who is very thorough and takes great pride in doing a job to perfection. I highly recommend him!"

"This is my first review on Google. I am submitting it because it was one of the best experiences I have had when it come to home repair services. I read the reviews and decided to click for an estimate. Nick called me back within a day to to discuss the issues I was having with my windows. He was not in a hurry, and took time to answer all of my questions. Nick was up front about the pricing, process and the timeline. When I requested an in-home inspection he told me exactly what the trip charge/inspection fee would be. He also told me that the charge would be credited if I continued with the window service. Nick showed up on schedule to complete the inspection. He looked at every window in the home, and let me know which windows should be repaired, no hard sell. I asked if I could get some of the rusted crank-out pieces replaced during the job, and he provided an immediate and reasonable price. Once he completed the inspection, he gave me an estimate for window sash repair. Some of my window stops were in good condition, and others were not. I made the decision to replace some of them, no selling pressure at all. He was truly interested in fixing only the problem areas. The pricing estimate and timeline matched what he had told me during the initial call. I made the decision to move forward, and made the down payment. He went back to the windows to take a wood sample for a color match. I received a call from Nick about two weeks before his estimate. He indicated that the parts were all in and even offered to come the next day to complete the repair. He and his assistant arrived at the scheduled time, and started to set up the repair station in the garage. The full process for them to repair eight windows took about four hours. The results were better than I expected. The windows looked like brand new. The color match was perfect, and the windows closed tight and secure. I paid the balance of the estimate, again no surprises. I divided my project into two parts. I had the upstairs windows replaced first, and will have the basement windows done next spring. Before he left, he again let me know his timeline moving forward so that I could plan accordingly. In summary, he did exactly what he said he would do and the windows look great. I highly recommend his service if you are having the same wood rotting issues with your windows. Perfect!"

"When our 37 year old picture window fogged up, it was too large for repair so replacement was needed. Nick's was the only company I found that was interested in replacing the pane and not additional framework. He gave us a fair bid and advised us on glass color to match adjacent windows. Once the glass arrived, Nick called to arrange installation. He completed the entire project in about 1 1/2 hours. We loved that he is an efficient and careful worker. The glass fit perfectly and we are very happy with the results. There is no interior woodwork damage, no crushed hostas in the foundation planting, and the work area was totally clean when he left.
