"great turn around time on a major repair on my buddies huge boat(yacht) that I had to aid with transport of to and from bayside, never expected it to as fast as it was! If your towing something sizeable into their lot(to leave with them to work on) rest assured you can just pull into their lot and they will quickly/safely unhook you and move the boat with their equipment safeguarding your property and all of their other customers property as well. happy boating!"
"Bayside Marine has been great! They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff that will take care of all your boating needs."
"Thanks to Dan and his team for taking in my 2001 Sea. Ray, that had virtually no steering, I have had them fix my boss's boat in the past, when no one else could and they did an amazing job on that one too. From purchasing a new steering wheel to replacing my gimbal ring and refinishing my prop, I couldn't have had a better experience and they have a customer for life."
"Dan and the crew are doing an outstanding job! They take care of my Cobalt 282. Every year. Thanks for all you do, guys :-)"
"I found Bayside last year on Google and chose them based on the reviews. I started buying parts from them because Bob knew my older boat and could tell me the best parts, and their prices are as good or better than online and other area places. So when I had a serious issue with the stern drive getting stuck in reverse last summer, I took that as an opportunity to fix a laundry list of issues: trim did not raise except in trailer mode and the sender was inoperable; stern stuck in reverse; too much leeway in steering wheel; anything else that was obvious. His lead mechanic, Dan, called me and said I needed to come in. I felt like I was going to see the school principal or doctor to discuss something terrible about one of my kids ... instead he went through all sorts of stuff about my boat and how it works, and all the junk that was wrong, like upside down trim arms. They had to disconnect and pull out the engine, remove the flywheel housing, replace the gimball bearings and the list goes on ... $3536.45. It is how Dan does things, that extra careful touch, that cemented his credibility. Moving forward to this year, I got the boat in early April to fix the trim again, tune-up, is there an alternator, Replace fuel sender, check power steering pump leak and get estimate to repair hinges. Wound up authorizing a carb rebuild that included a broken accelerator pump, kill switch for battery, minor trim adjustment and replace fuel sender and severed wires, the battery charges, leave the pump and hinges alone, replace starter in future, for about $900. They did another repair in May of this year to replace the starter and further tweak the carburetor. This time their 40-year tenured mechanic Scott isolated the starter and various additional tweaks to the carb for another $475 ish ... In June I had yet another issue on a Saturday out in the back channels near Spring Park Bay. Dan coached me over the phone and helped me get it started and avert a tow (a mix of throttling and running the blower). Needless to say, we are huge fans of Dan. My wife has him on her speed dial and does not hesitate to call. Repeated 5-star service. The Good: * very senior mechanics on staff (Dan and Scott are the ones I am aware of). I have never doubted Dan’s knowledge or work product. I have heard many horror stories about boat mechanics. I have zero concerns here. * after all three major repairs, I experienced huge performance gains. * I have no reason to question the price * the personal touch, from having me come by to going over every repair in detail. * the free boat operation guidance from Dan * Bette the office manager is one of the nicest people I have ever met. * the upgraded office space and website * parts. They have more in back than what is on display, and they can order more. I assume without Bob around, Dan can help order the right parts. They also carry the superior Mercury brands oil and lubes. * someone always comes out to help disconnect the boat from your car. * they can handle the major repairs we need. Since they process a large inventory of boats for winter lay-ups and spring fit-outs, they are extremely busy."
