"Ricky and the guys did an awesome job on my 2002 Lund 1700 Fisherman boat. I was questioning weather to just get a new one as I knew restoration cost would be considerable. Our family has had many hours of good memories in this boat so it has sentimental value to me also. After looking at the restoration, with no doubt, I've made the right decision. Now many new memories will be made with the grand kids. Thanks and make sure you thank Ricky and crew. Steve Deer River, MN"
"I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren't for the owner Vic. I had my boat fixed there this fall and Ricky and Janeen were awesome to deal with in every form like picking out different decals for my older boat that were not made anymore. The work and paint were done perfectly! Now to the owner Vic... I'm sure he is a nice guy but the man REALLY needs to step away from his business before he ruins a great thing! He bragged about being the owner and his age and working everyday but the guy couldn't remember anything, literally anything then gets upset with me the paying customer about it! I am sure I am not the only one that has had this experience with him. He was pressuring me to make some kind of cash payment (seems shady) then after telling him I wanted to pay with a check for records and plus who carries that much cash, he seemed to get very short with me. Then a week or two goes by and he calls and says the same thing about paying cash. I asked him if he didn't remember our phone conversation a week ago and he very sternly replies "no I don't my memory isn't good and then talked about some surgery" After telling him I won't pay cash again I show up to pay for and get my boat I write a check to the company and he speaks out that we had a cash deal and now it is going to be more expensive. He got so worked up I almost just left but then talking to him slurring his words I decided I will just write a check get my boat and never come back as long as he is there! IF you have to deal with Vic do yourself a favor and ask to only talk and deal with someone else OR communicate only by email so everything is in writing so "he cant forget" I had a friend post this because I don't trust Vic to have my name incase I have to come back to have their work warrantied and get turned down. I highly doubt I will have any issue with their work though."
"Anchor Marine performs very sloppy and unprofessional work. They'll fix your boat but give you something else to fix afterwards. Overall they stand behind their work, which I applaud, however in the end they had horrible customer service. I recommend reading until the end. I initially took my boat to Anchor Marine to get the keel replaced along with some leaky rivets. After the repair, the boat was still leaking. I brought the boat back and they said my live well hose is leaking and that it would be ~$1300 to replace. That winter I had the center floor board off and realized that they had riveted through the hose! I brought the boat back once again and luckily they stood behind their work and replaced the hose for free. As I was double checking their work when I got home, I realized they didn't put the electrical box back together behind my controls at the back of the boat and that is was hanging there vertically instead of horizontally. I had to spend a couple hours taking the back of the boat apart since the compartment was too small to rotate the box so it could be bolted back down. I also noticed that the new hose was pinched between the gas tank and a rivet (very embarrassing work). Fortunately, it was not punctured. The initial repair also resulted in a spot on the side of the boat with paint worn away so that bare aluminum was showing. Not to mention, the keel paint job wasn't close to matching the surrounding paint. I paid $500+ alone for the paint (total repair was around $3800). When I arrived after the initial repair, I also noticed they missed an area with paint so they fixed it right then and there. This is where things get interesting. I took the boat back to get few rivets replaced that they replaced a year ago since they started leaking again. Thankfully they stood behind them and replaced the six rivets for free. The same day I picked the boat up I went to launch it for some evening fishing and noticed a huge scuff on the motor cowling that was definitely not there before getting the rivets replaced. Respectfully called them and emailed pictures. This was their response: ARON YOU BROUGHT YOUR BOAT TO OUR SHOP TO CHECK OUT LEAKING RIVETS WE DID AND WE REPLACED 6 RIVETS FREE OF CHARGE WHEN WE WERE DONE WE LEAKED CHECKED THE BOAT AND THE RIVETS WE REPLACED DID NOT LEAK ---- THEN WE PUT YOUR BOAT BACK ON YOUR TRAILER ALL OF THIS WORK WAS DONE OUTSIDE -- THERE IS NO WAY THE GOUGES IN YOUR HOOD HAPPEND HERE -- ALSO THOSE GOUGES ARE OLD WE DONT EXCEPT ANY RESPONSIBLITY If you need to get your boat repaired ever, Anchor Marine is NOT the place to go. They have many other poor online reviews. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I saw a mix of good and bad reviews on Google but turns out that was a huge mistake. Please don't make this same mistake...they don't pay attention to detail or care about your boat."
"I brought my old Northport Troller to Anchor Marine to be restored. It was my husband's old boat and had not seen water since 1995. Since he passed I wanted to fix it up so I could go fishing. They were so helpful to me and did a beautiful job replacing the floor and new marine carpet. Rick even made a beautiful new driving console from new wood and it looks great. Upon taking the cover off the motor it was filled with mouse nests and all the wiring had been chewed. The owner helped me find a reconditioned engine and the boat is currently getting that installed from a different marine repair business. I am very pleased with their work and was treated so kindly. I would recommend Anchor Marine!"
"I pulled my boat all the way to Delano, Minnesota, from Lake Elsinore, CA to have my boat repaired by Anchor Marine. I found them online and was really impressed with the quality of the work they did on other boats, similar to mine. I spoke to the owner Victor on the phone and he gave me instructions on how to begin the process, which included, me sending pictures of the damage on my boat. He would then send me a quote and full description of parts and material that would be used to do all the repairs on my boat. I have a 2015 Lund 1875 Crossover, which I had up in the Eastern High Sierra's at Grant Lake, which is in June Lake, Ca. I had it tied up on the dock, next to another boat and the winds kicked up to about 50-60 MPH, which caused the boat next to me, to come loose. It did a tremendous amount of damage as it pounded into the side of my boat. I kept in contact with Anchor Marine Repair via phone & e-mail and made final arrangements before making the trip. They made a commitment to me, to have all the repairs done on my boat in 10 days & they kept there promise. I was very happy & impressed when I got the call. One of the other things they did for me, was to allow me to leave my vehicle at their facility while the boat was being worked on and that way I wouldn't be paying for parking at the airport. They provided transportation, to & from the airport, which was very nice and accommodating for me. Well the boat came out unbelievably beautiful and looked like a brand new boat that just came off the lot. Again, I was really impressed and blown away with the final results. I highly recommend Anchor Marine Repair to everyone out there with boat repair needs. Thank you Anchor Marine. *****"
