"They fixed the broken zippers on my jacket and dress pants for a reasonable price! Everything was done in a week and the zippers work great again. Thank you!! Will definitely return if we have any other clothes that need repair. Great little shop"
"I love Sew and Press! They are the best! I’ve been going to them for years after having a very bad experience with a different seamstress in Andover. They are so accommodating and have handled some situations for me right on the spot. Not only do they have great customer service, but they also do a fantastic job!"
"They did a terrific job! I’ve never had anything tailored before so I didn’t know what to expect, but they did an amazing job. It’s hard to find skinny jeans that fit me nicely since I’m short and skinny jeans are going out of style so the hemmed the bottom and made them tighter! It’s perfect! They were ready to pickup as stated. Definitely worth it and fair priced!"
"Third strike.... 1. I brought my husband's jacket in to have the zipper replaced. He needed the jacket for a work trip. I was clear on details of when I needed the jacket completed. The employee agreed to the timeline and promised to have it completed with urgency. When I came to pick it up at the agreed upon time it was not done. My husband had to make a second trip to the store on his way to the airport. The prices are also high ~$50 for the replacement zipper. 2. Brought a designer purse to Sew & Press to have a repair done. Came back weeks later to find it on the front counter under papers, etc. It had not been touched or even moved from the front counter. No apology was given to me. I took the purse home that day without anything fixed. 3. Went in today with my baby and two toddlers to pick up a shirt that had been dry cleaned. I was yelled at, in front of my children, because I did not have cash on me. Yet I had a credit card ready to pay. When I addressed the earlier issues with the tailor, I was yelled at even more. ...Sew & Press will no longer receive my business."
"I took my $150 Kate Spade dress that I bought 3 months ago to be dry cleaned for my son's baby dedication. I had only worn it a couple of times before but just wanted it spruced up before the dedication on Sunday. I asked when I gave the dress when it would be ready. They told me Thursday. I went to get it on Friday and they said that there was a NEW stain on the dress that they had to send it back. So note: THEY DO NOT DO THE DRY CLEANING THERE, THEY SEND IT OUT. They agree that the stains were not there when I brought it in. I told the lady that the whole point of having the dress dry cleaned was to have it ready for the dedication. The lady (who I think is the owner) snapped at me saying, "I told you I don't like what they did to it so we need to send it back!" At this point I had no choice. I picked it up today and there were more stains on the dress. She said they could not get it out because of the black that was also in the dress caused the stains. No apologies, no regret, just, oh by the way I ruined your dress. The dress is now ruined...when it was completely wearable when I brought it in just a little dirty. They gave me a $10 refund for an almost new $150 designer dress."
