"Update: changing my review from 1 stars to 3. After posting this 1 star review I got a call from the owners personal phone number. He did end up giving me a discount and sent one of his cleaners to my house at a later time on the same day. Only giving 3 because of the initial issue (see below) from this morning, and now that the carpet is dry I still see stains from my toddler (literally just applesauce). I didn’t think my carpet was THAT dirty but I’m kinda just disappointed with the overall experience. I appreciate the owner going out of his way, but I just expected my simple carpet stains to be gone. The guy who cleaned my carpet (very professional by the way) did explain that where we walk the most will probably still be dark due to deterioration of our carpet over time however, again I just expected a lot more of a difference I guess. Was supposed to get my carpet cleaned in the morning and they never showed up. I called several times to see where they were (it was impossible to get in touch because every time I would call I’d get a busy tone, a voicemail, or an error message), when i finally was able to get in touch with someone, I was told “oh your appointment is tomorrow from 11-1” nope. I wrote down date and time the second it was scheduled. I also got a CONFIRMATION call yesterday confirming the cleaning was today from 9-11. Even went back in my voicemail to listen to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. Sure enough. I’m extremely upset and disappointed, considering I’m 37 weeks pregnant and just wanted to get my carpet cleaned before baby is here."

"We’ve used Rasmussen multiple times for carpet cleaning with positive experiences, as well as dryer vent cleaning and upholstery cleaning of our large sectional couch. The techs are always extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I’ve never seen our couch look so good since we bought it - like the cushions were all reshaped! I also appreciated how they set up the cushions to dry quickly. We will continue to use them!"

"Update: Rick, the owner, sent another crew out the week following this initial cleaning to inspect everything and determine whether the cleaning had been done properly. This crew found many issues with the initial cleaning and decided that the whole system needed to be re-cleaned, but they did not have time in their schedule that day to re-clean everything. We called to schedule another appointment the following week for a crew to come out and re-clean everything and were assured that the crew that did the initial cleaning would not be sent out again as we did not trust that the cleaning would get done properly if they returned. That day arrived and it turned out that Rasmussen Cleaning Service had sent out the same crew that did our initial cleaning. I immediately called and rescheduled that cleaning and reiterated that I did not want the crew that did our initial cleaning. We had to wait another week for a different crew to be sent out to our home to do the re-cleaning of the system. Rick came with this crew to ensure that everything would be done properly. However, when the crew left, we noticed that the furnace chimney had been missed in the cleaning so we had to call and have part of the cleaning crew come back and finish the job. Overall, everyone we met at Rasmussen Cleaning Service was very kind and we did end up getting the full cleaning that we paid for. However, it took many follow up phone calls and several weeks after our initial cleaning for the job to be completed. If you decide to hire Rasmussen Cleaning Service, I advise you to double check the work that the technicians do in your home before they leave your home so that you do not have to go through this lengthy process like we did. Original: We had two technicians from Rasmussen Cleaning Service out to our home today to have our air ducts cleaned. Though they had an "air duct special" going on the cost for the air duct cleaning itself was still approximately what I had been quoted by other companies. The technicians did a good job cleaning the air ducts and showed us before and after pictures which was appreciated. When the technicians first arrived they wrote up a quote for us including some additional recommended services including cleaning the blower motor, A/C coil and furnace chimney. They discussed each of these additional services with us and explained/showed us why we should consider having them done. We agreed to all of them, practically doubling the cost of the air duct cleaning, which I didn't mind doing as long as it was worthwhile. After the technicians left, we took a look at some of the work that was completed. We felt the blower motor to check how well it had been cleaned and our hands came out covered in dust as if it hadn't been touched. We also tapped the furnace chimney, just as our technician had done to show us how much it needed to be cleaned, and it sounded exactly the same as before it had been "cleaned". I can only assume that these add-ons are a sales tactic and somewhat of a scam. Lastly, the attention to detail in cleaning everything up when they were done was poor. They left the floors a mess around the vents and didn't bother to clean off or properly replace some of the vent covers (see pictures). They also left metal shavings around where they cut into the vents. Though they did a nice job cleaning the ducts, in the future I will probably go with a company who doesn't try to upsell me and then not deliver on what they're promising."
