"We had carpet installed from here about a month ago. The workers were extremely courteous and the guy who came out to measure was quick and he explained everything to us. They gave us a fair price and the work was done in just a few days. I would definitely have them do more work in the future."
"I had flooring put in earlier this year. People in the store are nice and service oriented. However, advising the customer and understanding solves that are int he customers best interest are opportunities for Home Depot. The installation was not done correctly and I a have an uneven floor in a high traffic area. I am worried it will never get resolved. Work between Home Depot and their subcontractor has been tiresome and dawn out. If you are considering having Home Depot install flooring for you, carefully weigh your options with someone better equipped to ensure quality and follow through service. The cost savings may not be worth it. Today I am going to the store for the 4th time to try and get my situation resolved."
"Awful experience with carpet installation. We were told HD cut and removed hardwood floors for an additional fee if we wanted carpet installed, so we purchased the estimate. The estimator measured, took pictures and a day later we received the quote. We paid for the order in full and scheduled installation (5 weeks out). The installers arrived and told us they did not have the tools to cut the floor and left, after their supervisor told me they would get someone out to cut it. 5 min later, the HD store called and told me they don't cut hardwood floors. The store manager deferred me to the special order manager who (after a day of research) told me they don't do it and I would have to find my own solution. I asked for a refund and was told I needed to pay a restock fee for the carpet. Why on earth should I have to pay for your mistakes- at your order desk... at the estimate... at installation... and after escalating to management? Think twice before purchasing carpet or ANY install service with Home Depot. Formal complaint filed with HD corporate."
"Horrible Customer Service and their contractor "Crew 2" is the worst I've ever seen. Just tried getting blinds installed after my order towards the end of the month of May; still don't have them installed. They are awful at communication and they are so slow at getting anything processed accurately. Management doesn't even respond or admit their shortcomings. It's a hot mess and I would never suggest getting anything from Home Depot that requires them to do the service or installation. I guess they live up to their marketing of "Do it yourself". Absolutely do not think of them as being a contractor for installations unless you thrive on stress and bad service."
"As far as this store- Good as Far as Home depot in General specific to any service you have them do for you and the warranty they will try hard to avoid- RUN, chose another company. I have spent nearly 3 years trying to get warranty service: Net promoter score: Zero. Issue: Master bedroom window was installed without adding enough insulation behind the wrap to prevent wind from blowing straight through. I made a temporary fix by applying a gaudy seal on the inside waiting to Home depot to remove wrap, install insulation and reinstall. EST time 30-45 minutes. Home depot appears to avoid any possibility of absorbing warranty costs by simply kicking the complaint down the road waiting for the customer to go away. In short cost to litigate is more than just paying someone else to fix it or do it myself. However cost in a customer that would not buy a screw from your store will far out way your serviceman’s, call center or business decision to provide this unbelievably poor service"
