H&R Block

"Drove in because it’s been difficult to get ahold of someone. I recently had major surgery and am a bit slower. I walked up to the door and it looked empty and dark. I got to the door and I noticed someone at the front desk and she was on her cell phone. So I was confused and maybe it was closed. So I made a gesture if I could come in. Seemed annoyed that she had to end the personal call. The energy seemed negative. I have had some mental and physical issues and PTSD with aspects of money and after a divorce and not being to claim for years and I knew it was going to a lot to deal with. I have been doing the work and 3 weeks out of major back surgery. I finally got the courage to start somewhere. I figured closer the better to start. I said I wanted to know if you or anyone could help me ballpark cost and if that’s something that could help with? She said so wait you haven’t filed? She said some other non empathetic responses. I said well that’s why I am here! She continued to talk down to me. I said. I don’t think you’re listening. I guess I will ask my question elsewhere and left very slowly and confused. No attempt was made to make it right. If that’s the store manager. I’m really concerned. I wouldn’t go here if you need someone with professional experience and willing to meet you where you’re at. Anyone know a good place for Tax help besides here? P.S. I worked in customer service/experience for years. This is my first time writing a negative review. I just felt compelled."

"The receptionists had no clue what she was doing. She told me three times that I did not have a appointment then she realized I did have a appointment with the one guy who was there just sitting around. I waited twenty minutes for nothing. When I finally got to sit down with a tax guy I could not understand what he was saying and everything he read on the screen he would say out loud. It seemed like he did not know what he was doing WOW what a horrible experience I will never go back very very unhappy. I hope he did my taxes correct I have no confidence in him or your company."

"I have used H&R Block for more than 10 years and have worked with the same person, Carol Reimer. She does a wonderful job and will stay with H&R Block as long as I can continue having her prepare my taxes. I moved out of the metro area and travel over 150 miles to have her help me."

"checked in fifteen minutes before my scheduled appointment. gentleman walked in five minutes after me. lady at the desk was very concerned about him getting in on time including gave him a different tax pro who was available sooner. someone who i assume was the manager gave him coupons to a local restaraunt and when she saw me looking at her is when without aknowledging me handed me one as well while speaking to the other gentleman. tax pro he was supposed to be with even came out and apologized. then another man walked in asking to speak with the pro i was scheduled with. it is now fifteen minutes after my appointment time. now the other guy waiting gets called back by his replacement pro and instead of asking me or the walk in person if we wanted to see someone else or if we could wait they just let me sit there. my tax pro michael called back the walk in gentleman and said he will be with me in a bit. i finally got called back an hour after my apt time and waited a total of 75 min."
