"My appointment was at 4:00 and I showed up at 3:50, and wasn't seen until 4:40 because they were still with another client. So I had to wait almost an hour. They quoted a different price than what they charged me to do my taxes, and was a lot more expensive than first thought out to be. Overall it wasn't a very good experience."

"Last year they did a great job. Unfortunately, this year, the experience was unfortunate. First, I scheduled weeks in advance, only to have my appointment rescheduled because they do not have enough people. The "tax pro" asked me if my taxes would be easy or difficult, because they had new people and they cannot trust them with difficult tasks. When arriving to my appointment, the receptionist was very stressed because I brought my wife, we file jointly, they should know about it since they have my records and I uploaded all the documents to their website. He made a comment about too many people in the office: "it looks like a weeding reception, I have to leave so we are only 8 people in the office at the same time". I decided to leave the place, if I am paying a professional $300 for one hour of their time, I believe they should be at least be professional. Scheduled with another HRBlock agent, to give them another chance to handle my business professionally."

"My usual tax person was unavailable this year but I still felt like Gary looked out for me and made sure I had a nice experience and I was getting the most out of my refund/filing. This is my 3rd year filing with H&R Block and I've never once felt like the workers were condescending or rude to me-they really do care that I am getting the most out of my refund. Each year I go, my tax professional is kind, understanding and gives me useful tips for my taxes in the future."

"My overall opinion of this company is that they are a joke. I would highly suggest not trusting Alex Nelson touching your money. I had two phone appointments set up for today and was not called back on either of them. When someone finally got me in touch with an agent (Alex Nelson) he didn’t seem to have any answers. All he kept saying was “I don’t know” and “We don’t offer those services”. When in fact all services are offered online. When I told him that, he got rather combative and offered to take care of my needs for over $150. When I informed him that the same service is offered online for $29.95, he said something under his breath and hung up the phone on me. What a terrible experience all around with this company. With so much competition out there you think they would thrive on great customer service. Unfortunately they missed the mark by a long shot. Again, I would not trust Alex Nelson with your money. He clearly had no issues trying to swindle his customers for their money. H&R Block, you should be ashamed you allow people like this to represent you."
