"I keep getting texts that they are scheduling me an appointment without my consent or knowledge. I used this office last year but my taxes have already been filed using a different tax office this year due to a bad experience here in 2023."

"I had an appointment with Sandra Mikulak who was extremely rude from the moment I sat down. There was little to no communication between her and I. While filling out my personal information Sandra repeatedly made typos by misspelling my name and putting the incorrect home address after giving it to her several times. I sat and watched her “huff and puff” while struggling to input my CRP form in correctly for over 10 minutes. I felt very uncomfortable and decided not to move forward with filing. Overall I had a terrible experience and would not return to this location because of Sandra."

"Update: -1 star. Now at 7+ phone calls to resolve HRBlock mistake. HRBlock isn't good for young professionals. TL;DR: I paid $650 to file my taxes. They weren't filed. I am now at 4+ phone calls with customer support. The Details: To start, my tax pro Laura was a wonderful person and I think being a good person is worth 1 star alone. That's all I can say that's positive about the experience however. I'm only one review, and many others have had great experiences, so take this as you want... Laura didn't seem to understand how stock selling impacted tax filing and had to get additional help. This didn't increase my confidence in the prep, and this was the entire reason I didn't stick with TurboTax (much cheaper, and faster). I then learned after 2 phone calls with H&RBlock's automated call system that: A) The St. Louis Park office will never answer the phones if it's not tax season. B) That my taxes weren't filed. 2 more calls, and after the corporate H&RBlock rep got irritated with the lack of professionalism from this branch, she set up a phone meeting with them. I then got stood up. Communication isn't great. Hopefully everything works out. At this current state, I recommend if you are a young professional, to use TurboTax."

"My partner had a good experience here other than being surprised by their price to file just state and federal. I think more transparency and upfront communication by the employees should be a priority here - unfortunately it is not. Won’t go here in the future, feels like a deceptive tactic"

"They did a great job but not the best on communication. They needed a form I dropped off what I thought was the correct form and since I never heard back for weeks, I called to check on the status of my returns and found out they needed a different form. Once that had been emailed the response was great. I could have had that to them sooner had I been informed they needed a different form right away."
