"I made an appointment to be seen by a tax professional online. I arrived for my appointment but they had no record of me and told me there was no room to fit me in, in the next "3 weeks." They apologized for their "system error" and recommended I do a tax drop off. I was trying to be flexible and with my time crunch I agreed. About a week or so later I called to check the status of my tax return, if it was in process or still "in line". Each time I called that day (about 3 times, for different questions) I kept being transferred between two different women who I was never formally introduced too, so I had no clue what their position was at Scheunamann Tax. Being told my tax return is still in the "pile" of refunds to be done, I was expecting to still have an opportunity to speak with my assigned Tax professional about my life circumstances. But that was not the case. The day after calling them with questions, I was told that my refund was complete. I paid $225.00 in cash and collected my return documents. I was amiss for not reviewing every single page because about two days following, I was told that my return didn't go through. Someone else had claimed my dependent (as I expected per my custody agreement) so "Donna" who completed my refund had to redo them (again, without speaking to me first.) and determined my refund was significantly less. I disagreed with her number because my dry run on Turbo Tax gave me a much different result, even though I couldn't claim my dependent for 2019. I asked for a refund but they refused to provide me one because the "work was done." I challenged that statement because they were hired to prepare my taxes AND file them. I was provided poor customer service from the beginning. Still, they refused to provide me a refund. In conclusion, I am out $225.00, which is a lot for a single parent and nothing to show for it. I do NOT recommend Shuenemann Tax unless you want to be treated like a number. I'll be taking my complaint to the BBB as well."

"Scheunnmann Tax Service goes the extra mile during this very busy time. They are open long hours and are flexible with services to accommodate people's busy schedules. I like that they take appointments if you want to sit down with a preparer, but they also complete drop offs in a timely manner. I would recommend for reliable service and knowledge at reasonable rates."

"I have been getting my taxes done here since I started filing. Every single preparer is different, but they all do great work and are kind. They have grown immensely since I've started using them and that sometimes slows them down, but each year they treat me well and leave me with a smile on my face. With how crazy tax seasons are, you'd think they wouldn't have time to help with random things, but they always go the extra mile, especially Ellen."

"We had our business taxes taken care of by Robert. As first year business owners we had questions and Robert reassured us everything was set up correct and that he would be able to take care of our taxes for the year. In my opinion, that was the biggest mistake we could have done, trusting him. He was unprofessional in making multiple jokes during the consult about being audited. He did not disclose information that would have been greatly beneficial for us to know. Later, doing our personal taxes with other tax professionals, we were turned down multiple times as our business taxes were filed incorrectly. No one wanted to touch our business taxes. We're dealing with amending what was done and refiling our businesses with the state. All this could have been avoided in my opinion, if Robert was able to give the correct information. He just didn't understand our business and was not helpful. It's been a nightmare."
