Schmitz-Maki Arena

"Prices for entrance and rentals is very good. Plenty of room to skate for beginners, lots of tools to help beginners learn to stand up on skates and even be able to move around so that they feel like they are learning"

"Great arena ! Clean, nice. Consessions upstairs is a bit odd, but cool. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. I prefer arenas wiry seating on both sides of the rink"

"Was here for the girls high school hockey game. They won! Not a lot of seating but they have infared heaters to keep you warm....very nice. Pep band was there as well....a lot of echo when they played. Over all a good experiance."

"Schmitz-Maki arena is a beautiful facility that brings me nostalgia every time I enter it. It was but a year ago that the Great 8 made his varsity hockey debut at this very rink, and it was a memorable experience for most. Being one of the first sophomores to get the call up it was very shocking when coach stuck his head in the doorway and said, “McCall, you’re going”. After the national anthem the Great 8 dropped his things to put on his helmet then headed to the bench to experience some high level high school hockey."
