Peak Performance Shotokan Karate-Do is a highly respected martial arts institution located in New Brighton, Minnesota. Established in 1992, we offer top-quality instruction in traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate with a focus on self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-control. As an accredited dojo of the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF), led by the renowned karate master Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa, we provide a proven system for success and advancement.

Our Chief Instructor, Sensei Chris, has over 30 years of experience in Shotokan Karate and holds a 6th Dan rank. She is dedicated to teaching students of all ages, specializing in youth programs. Sensei Gene Smith, with a background in training in Japan and competing internationally, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our institution. Sempai Dan, who received his Shodan and Sandan ranks at Peak Performance, is a dedicated instructor committed to helping students achieve their martial arts goals.

We offer classes for all ages, including pre-karate and youth programs, as well as options for families and serious martial artists.
