"I used to love the Blaisdell Y but I’m afraid it’s not what I remember. My partner and I signed up for a trail membership online and no one ever reached back out to us - the confirmation email stated they would call us (we gave them over a week). So we went in to the building to talk with someone in person. Sultan, the membership team member we spoke to, took us on a tour and when it came to sign up for the trial pass told us we couldn’t sign up without a MN state ID (which we later found out isn’t true), and honestly didn’t really seem to care or that helpful. Both my partner and I brought in our passport which is a valid form of ID. So when we left after getting denied, we called the general YMCA membership line and was told that a passport should have been accepted as a valid form of ID and didn’t quite understand why it wasn’t accepted. My partner and I called the Blaisdell Y to let them know a passport should have been accepted and we should have been able to sign up for the membership. However, no one answered and so we left a voicemail and, of course, no one has yet to return our call. We ended up going to the Midway YMCA and we were very pleased with the customer service there and we’re able to sign up for a trail pass with our passports. The staff who helped us, Alex, was very friendly and let us know about current enrollment promotions and let us know he’ll be following up with us before our trail ends to see if we want to enroll at the Midway Y! :)"

"This place doesn't treat their employees well and the pool is always closed. I wanna swim. Someone named Sultan overcharged me. I don't appreciate that. Also there's never any parking. 1 star, would not recommend"
