"A great place to bring kids for group training. The group sizes are small and it's not expensive. My kid gets much more out of it than practicing on his own. And he's done private lessons with Kevin, who is dedicated to coaching and loves what he does."
"Didn't communicate to me as a coach that it's "illegal" to have non kids on the roster play but it's also on the refs to check the roster to see if they're actually on the roster. I'm guilty of trying to improve the team when I only had 6 or 7 kids playing for me and didn't have a full rotation to rotate kids in and out the games. It also says a lot when you tell me that "you already have a coach that's been trying to coach, and you already called him". I also had absolutely no assistance and the kids I was coaching had no chance of being successful they needed more then two days of practice to actually improve themselves. Then on weekends tournament days They get a sudden shock to the talent level of the other teenagers playing. And due to the amount of programs running they had no chance of being successful as individuals also not just as a team. 2 Sunday's ago our "time had changed" we all thought we played at 1pm but our 1st game was at 10am so somewhere or somehow the time got changed and the parents didn't even know of the time difference because everyone thought the game was at 1pm. Facilities are small and not even regulation size and not even a Basketball court. Can't take ownership in explaining to me why I shouldn't have done that instead I get blamed instead of talking. I already know I made the mistake in letting them play but also did the refs in all three games. Even the parents thought I did a great job with what I was given He had no reason to fire me. I was early every practice and games. I also told the tournament director I would be adding new players to the roster as it says to do in the rules. I was told what I did wasn't a fireable offense. In fact I can allow non rostered players when telling the organizations director and telling the other coaches."
"Kevin and the team at MDB are terrific! Our club has been working with them for years to help players improve their game. The facility is perfect for individual or small group work. My player has come here to work on increasing their skills to get ready for the season. The staff is friendly and easy to work with."
"I thought I knew something about coaching youth basketball until I discovered Kevin Kelley and MDB. Coach Kelley is a master teacher of the game. I have brought my players to his gym and they love him for his kindness and patience and they know every minute they spend with him will make them better players."
"If you want to consider REVIEWS... all you have to look at is this company and owner has been been in business for over 20 years and two complaints. I saw these reviews and had to something: Go look at MDB Facebook for reviews and information. I have two boys that participated at MDB . My older son started around 6th grade. He not only trained there but played on MDB teams. He had an incredible experience. My other son started in 3rd grade. Both my boys went on to be excellent basketball players with my younger son playing in National tournaments with top teams, and went on to play fours years of varsity basketball. I can absolutely without a doubt say he would not have attained that success without all that training at MDB. You have to be patient and understand training goes on for years. My son liked all the trainers at MDB and most of them were incredibly inspiring. Lastly I have been a director of four different basketball programs over the last 20 years and have been coaching traveling basketball for the same. I have had four of my kids in basketball. If I did it all over again my kids would be at MDB! A great organization and supported by many basketball associations. Kevin does a superb job."
