"Dojo elk river is hands down the most friendly, welcoming place I’ve been to. They immediately started working with my child and she was shown, so much in the trail we joined for the year!. It’s nice she’s treated like an individual not just a number in a class"
"Dojo Karate has given me the opportunity to make life-long freinds and develope life-long skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Officially my favorite place on earth. Might for right!"
"I do not recommend this martial arts place and there are many reasons why, but I will just share a few of my experiences. When my son took classes, which is 30 minutes long, the instructor checks her Apple Watch constantly and stops class to answer phone. In my opinion that’s what voicemail is for or hire a receptionist. I feel that a 30 minute class should be 30 minutes of instruction. When you sign a contract all the policies and fees are not listed in there, so beware of the sneaky fees. I feel this is very dishonest and rather shady. For example, if you cannot attend a graduation ceremony they will offer a private graduation for your children…. But you are not told about a private graduation fee nor can your child advance without that ceremony, even though you paid for instruction ( tuition), and paid the regular graduation fee. If you pay for the graduation, is that not for the belt? Makes one wonder if it’s not about the money!! it made me feel it sure was. I made a review on the Facebook page. The owner came on and commented about issuing me a refund for the unused portion of my son’s mighty tiger/mighty dragon classes. I never received that refund! I never asked for a refund. He was the one who offered it, but never followed through. Dojo karate has my address so in my opinion since he offered it a refund check should have been sent in the mail. I am doing my due diligence and letting consumers know about my experiences with dojo karate elk river. I contacted the BBB and they gave me the number for discrimination office. I’m not going to type that experience out her so Please check out my review on dojo karate elk river’s Facebook page and you will hear about more of my horrific experiences with this business. Lastly, the owner blocked me from their Facebook page."
"We love Dojo Karate. It has been so good our 9 year old son, he loves the instructors and Master Stormoen is amazing with all the kids! We highly recommend them!"
"Contacted to inquire about karate classes for a four year old. Refused to share even ballpark pricing information or pricing structure unless I would sign my child up for their trial program, saying, "We would need to have your child take a few classes before I could give you any recommendations. At that age it is hard to guess where they are at." Not going to sign my child up and get them set on karate without knowing ballpark prices... Don't waste your time."
