"mixed reviews. once I met with the advisor it was okay but very mismanaged experience. first: online I scheduled an appointment and received an email they weren't open that day. second: I rescheduled and went in to meet the advisor and was told he doesn't do in person appointments so I just dropped off my forms and scheduled another appointment to sign and file. I brought my dependents information (SSN cards and birth certificates and was told they didn't need that. third: evening before my appointment I received an email inquiring about my dependents status so it didn't seem like they were ready to file my taxes. fourth: called back day of appointment and couldn't get through to the facility. no option to leave voicemail. fifth: eventually received call back and when I went to appointment to file they didn't have my W2. fortunately I brought a copy so they used it. had to give my dependents information again, fortunately brought these items. once the information was provided, it was very quick and I'm getting a good refund. cost is less than I paid last 2 yrs with a private firm, so that's good. will do on my own next year with audit support, as needed."

"Got close to the deadline, I was nervous I wasn't going to get them done on time. Sent all my documents in online, my tax person had a few questions, I answered them, taxes done same day. Great!"

"This is my first experience with H&R Block. I was looking forward to a smooth, easy, convenient process as they advertise online, unfortunately, this was not the experience I got. I had uploaded all of my documents online, my tax status said that someone was reviewing my documents so I waited and waited for an update. Two weeks had passed and I had not received any further updates nor did my tax status change. I decided to reach out and was able to get a phone appointment scheduled with Block Advisors. I thought ok, maybe this was my mistake for not choosing a tax advisor and just letting them assign me one (this was not explained anywhere on their website btw). My appointment was scheduled for 4pm the next week with Jackie. I had received an email confirmation shortly after with my appointment day and time the following week. A day before my scheduled appointment, I received a reminder email about my appointment except the time had changed (from 4pm to 3pm). I was going to be available for this new time so it didn't bother me too much that it had changed. 3pm came around, nothing. I called the office at 3:15pm for an update, the person I spoke to said that Jackie was working from home today and would have him reach out to me. My appointment was a phone appointment so the fact that he was working from home didn't seem relevant to me. I waited til a little after 4pm and no one had reached out so again I called the office. The lady I spoke to was apologetic and said they'd reach out again to Jackie. She confirmed that his schedule showed he had 2 phone appointments and 1 of those was with me. I asked to be reassigned to someone else, anyone else, it didn't matter I just wanted someone to look at my taxes even it wasn't going to happen today. She said that she was not able to assist me but assured me I was in good hands. It's been 2 days and I have not heard back from anyone. I'm more than disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere."
