"The doctor and staff were very nice. And the other reviews I read lead me to believe that i could have an indepth conversation with him. However, unless you are prepared to do surgery right away this is not the doctor to see. Surgery was his first and only option right out the door. He refused to discuss any other options like shots for my knee that I have had in the past. I spoke with medicare today and we have a right not to be bullied onto a surgery. This doctor simply stated that he would not give me a shot of cortisone or remove the fluid around my knee because it could lead to an infection to close to surgery is bullying. It implies that surgery has to be done sooner rather than later. I tried to discuss with him that 6 or 7 months down the road I could get family help for surgery recovery. But not now. His response was there are nursing homes available for recovery period. This is a not an emergency and there are other choices are available. His beliefs should be very up front when one calls to make an appointment and states that they are calling for an appointment to get shots and have had them in the past. I even offered to bring or have records sent in. Which they did not want. So now I am out the copay and still walking around on a swollen knee."
