"This front desk staff upon entry immediately rolled their eyes and gave attitude as if we were a bother to them walking through the doors. She spoke down to us and I felt as if being seen would be worse than actually being sick. As someone who has worked in healthcare I know the importance of being kind to your patients and making them feel comfortable and luckily we were turned away because of their difficult insurance policies because to be honest I dont know if I would have felt like I was being taken seriously and my issues actually being addressed. Despite the proximity to Incline, where I live, I would choose to drive to Reno over being seen here."
"If I could give this facility a zero than I would, they don’t deserve any stars! I went to the facility because we are currently looking for a new doctor since our doctor doesn’t take our new insurance. My daughter was sick and needed to be seen, we walked up to the window and it said to have a seat and someone would be out to help. We sat there for 20 minutes and nothing, I went up to the counter where the receptionist was sitting and she ignored me and didn’t even acknowledge me, so I rang the bell and she aggressively opened the glass slider and said “I’m right here, you don’t need to ring the bell!” I said well you didn’t acknowledge me standing right here and we have been waiting for 20 minutes. She threw the clipboard with the paperwork on it at me and was super rude and unprofessional! I will never step foot in that facility again and will be reporting them to the state! I hope she can take customer service classes, because she needs them!"
"If you can go elsewhere, DO. Unfortunately, most people who determine they need to seek “urgent care” don’t have a lot of extra time to read the reviews and will end up here. If this is the case and you are now reading up on the reviews because perhaps you too are frustrated and exasperated with their billing department, you are not alone. I agree with all the poor reviews regarding the billing practices of Incline Village Urgent Care. My daughter was seen for a broken hand on June 18, 2020. On the 1st of the month her insurance had changed, and she did not yet have her new medical ID card / number. She provided the old card and was charged an initial fee for patient self-pay. One June 29th she provided the facility with her new /current medical id information. They processed the insurance using her old/invalid information and after it was rejected due to an inactive policy and unknown by us at the time, did NOT process another claim with the correct data. After receiving an invoice dated the 1st of the month in July, Aug, Sep and Oct, I called the billing department 7/10, 14, 8/12, 21, 9/8 , 25, 10/2 and again today 10/13. Today was the first time I was able to speak to someone in person. All other attempts resulted in detailed voice mail messages being left. WITH NO call back or correspondence other than to resend the same invoice. Now with a late fee. Billing is rude and claims they cannot do anything except send it to collections unless I pay. They do not “rebill” insurance even after new information is provided and won’t help in anyway because it is past the time period in which to get reimbursed by insurance. This place is a SCAM. When I figure out how to process an official complaint against them I will. In the meantime, I will pay out of pocket to avoid a collection agency putting a payment default on my daughter’s yet to be even established credit history. I will then need to work through the insurance and hope to be reimbursed. I’ve never experienced such poor customer support from any medical facility. Adding a note that the actual medical services provided were fine."
"Don't ever step into the facility. Go to the hospital, I've never had an issue at the hospital. This urgent care is horribly rude and uses unnecessary practices to get paid. Similar to the pay day loan scams. My insurance paid the appropriate fee and they are charging twice what they should be. Both myself and my insurance left several messages in order to get the balance paid and never receive calls back only demand letters. The billing department has no customer service and wonders why customers have attitudes when finally getting a live person. Their solution is to send everyone to collections. Like that's a threat, we all know collection agency's carry no weight when the provider is in error. They only got one star because I had to choose a star in order to post."
"My husband and I were vacationing in North Lake Tahoe when our 15 month old daughter got very sick with a 102.7 fever, fast, heavy breathing and was very lethargic. We had no clue where to go and I was quite hesitant to come here since the reviews weren’t great but it was our only option. We called ahead and asked if they saw pediatric patients and they said yes and urged us to come. Once we got there, the front desk women were extremely nice and welcoming. We waited for about 20 minutes before being seen, which was quicker than I expected for an urgent care facility. The nurse (I never caught her name), was very patient with our daughter, very understanding and listened to all of our concerns. The doctor, Danielle, was AWESOME and so friendly! She was very knowledgeable and very thorough and we could tell she was passionate about her job. She listened to our concerns and was patient with our daughter. She double and triple checked our daughters oxygen levels and temperature (both weren’t showing great numbers) and she prescribed us meds that we were able to pick up right next door at the grocery store. Being from out of state and dealing with a sick child was absolutely no fun but I am SO glad we went to Incline Village Urgent Care and met such wonderful people who took great care of our daughter!"
