Reviews of Renown Health Urgent Care - Ryland
"i had to get a pre employment drug screen and was a walk in they are very nice at check in and the wait was not bad at all the lady that took the urine sample was very nice and professional very satisfied would recommend, thank you to your staff i give you a thumbs up ."
"Waiting room was not crowded at all. Sign says they open at 8 and I made my appointment for 745 and still waiting while I watch people go in in front of me. I do not like to come to an urgent care. The last two I have been too take their time like we don’t have lives. So while I wait, very impatiently while she calls to verify the physical sheet I just sent her, will update with the time it takes them for me to get in. Update: appointment was set for 745, got in at 808 and finally saw the dr. at 820. Is this normal for some? I haven’t experienced this regularly, only happens in urgent care. (That’s where I have to get my work physicals)"
"I came in for a sore throat since I work in health care and just want to be sure I'm safe to work with others. I always make sure to tell whoever does a throat swab that I have a gag reflex. I understand it's annoying sometimes but I try to tell people just in case. Someone came in to go over my chart and then another girl to take swabs. I explained the gag reflex to the girl taking the swabs. I think her name is Hallie. It was maybe a 30-second thing total with my gag reflex warning, throat, and nose swab. She swabbed me and left. I could hear her outside of the door telling someone I have angry-looking tonsils which makes sense but then she also told whoever she was talking to that she was irritated that I explained my gag reflex to her, that she doesn't care, and she could have swabbed already by the time I told her. I'm not sure why an extra 10 seconds ruined her day but maybe move out of earshot when talking about how you don't care about patients or get out of health care. I would never even say out loud that I didn't care about something a patient told me. Especially if it had something to do with a test we were running right then. If the providers I worked for heard me say something like that they'd probably make sure I didn't work for them anymore. Healthcare is exactly that, caring. Please tell the girl who took my swabs that I said thanks. Edit: I filled out the feedback page and emailed it to the address they told me to. I received two calls from them during my working hours which are the same as their working hours. No voicemail was left either time then I got a weird letter from them in the mail that said they tried reaching me twice and couldn't but that they were sorry. Weird. Bold enough to talk poorly about patients while they're in the building but not bold enough to leave a voicemail so they can actually apologize. I don't know. I'll get over it eventually but I just hope they don't do this to someone who won't be able to get over it. Mental health is real."
"My son, 2 years old, fell and bumped his head. Had a cut in forehead. This was the only urgent care open and we came in at 8pm. We were seen quickly and the doctor informed us that the cut needed stitches. Doctor could have easily done glue but did what she knows is best. Great integrity! My son was not easy to stitch as we had to hold him down. Initially doctor thought 2 Stitches would be good but found it would need 3. With my son moving immensely one of the stitches was not good. The doctor reluctantly redid it to her standards. I would like to commend the staff and doctors at this location for doing the right thing even when it was closing time. I am very grateful for there service. This is a very hard job but every one here rose to the occasion and delivered. Thank you so much doctor!!"
