"It was a blast. Did a ride along at first, and then moved up to the driving experience. You were coached well with safety being top priority. I would recommend to put this on your bucket list."
"The staff was great, but it did look under staffed. The package that was given to me as a gift was a 3 hour experience with 5 minutes of driving time. for the cost of this package I would suggest you include more driving time. Adding 3 more minutes was a ridiculous $120. This was my first time doing this and after the training I felt like I needed to listen to the spotter and do as he said. But I was never given the go ahead to go faster, even with the spotters praise on my driving. I was told I drove 152 mph, but it didn't seem like I was as fast as that. It was fun, but not worth the money because of the behind the wheel time."
"This is an edited review after a conversation with Tyler at Mario Andretti: I had high hopes for this event, but was disappointed overall because it didn't live up to my expectations. (I should have chosen a different event or paid for more time.) First of all, let me state that the employees all provided good customer service and were friendly. They did a good job. (After discussing my issues with Tyler I recommend that if you have any significant driving experience, either do the ride-along experience, or buy enough time to get the car up to higher speeds. I chose the short driving experience and it wasn't enough.) I spent an hour listening to all the rules, twenty minutes waiting to get into the car and on the track, and then spent five minutes on the track. During the briefings they emphasized the importance of following instructions that by the time I got in the car I was afraid to do anything out of bounds. We only got the car up to 4600 RPM and 128 MPH. I've been faster than that on the autobahn in Germany. It was a let down overall because I should have chosen a different experience. I don't blame the employees. I suggest that you choose more time or the ride along if you want to get the most out of this experience. Tyler from the main office was helpful in resolving my issues and all the employees provided great service. If you want to drive fast, buy more time and spend more time on the track."
"I purchased the Rookie package for my husband as a Christmas gift. At first, everything seemed to be going well despite being a little behind on time. After the pre-race class, they guided us out to the field, that is where our issues began. No one seemed to know how to manage the racers, the cars, or getting everyone set up, along with the fact at the last minute, they told us they had to rush things due to needing the course for another event, and that is our fault HOW? When my husband was finally set up in his car, they let him go with no confirmation that he had any radio contact with the race engineer. I give credit to the engineer as he realized during the first lap that he had zero contact. They called my husband back to the pit to give him a new helmet and get him set up again. They assured us he would have enough time to race after that, he did not. He got one actual race lap and brought him back in due to the time constraints of needing the field. We received no apology or compensation as a result. My husband was a semi-pro motorcycle racer in Germany, so he knows how to race a track and was not driving 75 mph. We live out of state so for the cost of the hotel, gas, 8 hr drive time and race package it was definitely NOT worth it."
