"Great preschool program!"
"I am on a world #RECORDSETTER mission to help Las Vegas become the first city in the world to achieve #AIDSFREEGEN. I spent 2011-2016 using PEPFAR (Global Blueprint for AIDSFREE GENERATION) as a framework for setting a solid foundation for my new company. Along my journey paving the 4 roadmaps I found UNLV Life Science research and development information and Dr Martin Schiller. His work is focused on short functional peptides, bioinformatics, and HIV. Schiller’s research has resulted in 60 publications supported mostly by 12 research grants from the NIH. He has received a number of awards, produced a suite of bioinformatics tools, and is involved in commercialization of some of his research projects. He is now the Executive Director of the Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine. Bioinformatics Bioinformatics is broadly defined as the use of computers to analyze biological data. Bioinformatics research generally focuses on extracting knowledge from large datasets, such as genome sequences, profiling experiments, or population statistics. It is related to and partially overlaps with biocomputing, biostatistics, and mathematical biology. Cellular and Molecular Biology Cell and molecular biology is an interdisciplinary field that bridges the areas of chemistry, cell biology, genetics, and molecular biology, as it seeks to understand the genetic and molecular mechanisms that underlie all of life’s processes. Microbiology Microbiology is the study of single-celled organisms and non-living infectious particles (e.g. viruses and prions). Despite their small size, microorganisms make up about 50 percent of the Earth’s biomass. Microbes inhabited the planet long before plants, animals, and fungi, so it is therefore not surprising that microbes carry out key roles in the biogeochemical cycles and have major impacts on human and animal health. Today, microbes are used in a wide variety of industries."
