"Hands down, the absolute worst customer service. This used to be a great company to deal with. I'm not sure what happened but it is now the absolute worst. I require a very specific uniform for work. I had a lenghty conversation with the rep about what I needed & placed an order for the uniform in early January 2024. I was charged accordingly, within a day. After a week and a half, I had not received anything. No email, no receipt, no tracking number, & no answers to phone calls. I ended up finding a rep at a trade show to get answers. At that point, I was given an excuse that the package must have been lost but no explanation for the poor communication and no tracking number to prove it was ever shipped. I received a "replacement" within a few days. The replacement was not what I ordered. I had already talked to the lady in depth about the item I needed and was told the wharehouse must have just sent old stock on accident. I returned the uniform the next day and was provided a message on February 1st saying I would be contacted shortly. Now February 26th and after numerous phone calls, text messages and emails, somebody finally calls me back. Now I'm being told that no such uniform exists even though most of the guys I work with have the same uniform. Again, the lady on the phone specifically said it was available and verified with a picture. I asked for a refund and will purchase elsewhere. Buyers Beware. You will be ignored and excuses will be offered. Its unfortunate because this used to be a great place with great products. There is another uniform company in Tacoma, Washington with stellar customer service and they offer agency specific uniforms."
"I am a Senior Alpine Ski Patroller at a small PA ski resort that has tremendous skier volume due to our proximity to metropolitan areas. I have a pair of the #008 cargo pants, and they have outlasted all of my other working outerwear. I have seven seasons on them and they are still completely waterproof and have no cuts, just a few crampon punctures that never penetrated the second layer reinforcements. I highly recommend these pants and all Mountain Uniform gear. You have to care for it properly, don’t wash it all the time, or store it wet. But properly cared for they are indestructible. The thin neoprene padding and double layer fabric at the knee and butt are game changers for working mountain staff and patrollers who are getting down on the snow. Best part, they have Short sizes for those of us who are height challenged. I honestly wear my 008’s all winter even free skiing. They are dry, comfortable, and have tons of pockets."
"Sybile at Mountain Uniforms was amazing! She went above and beyond to get me into a cold weather suit. I highly recommend using Mountain Uniforms for a professional, enjoyable experience."
"I have followed Mountain Uniforms for many years and have always been impressed with their team. They are an amazing company with a great business model that offers ski resorts, law enforcement and other agencies a cost effective way to purchase their uniforms without giving up quality, service or style. It makes me smile every time I see one of their uniforms on a lift operator or ski patrol person while skiing."
"MORE BAD THAN GOOD Mountain Uniforms produced 4 dozen pieces (24 jackets and 24 softshells) for our small ski school. THE BAD (oh yes, and it gets worse as you scroll down): 1) The jackets did not arrive until after our winter season had begun, past the promised delivery date. 2) Several of the jackets arrived new with pockets incorrectly sewn, so items such as small tools, keys and even VHF radios ended up falling through the holes and in between the layers of material. 3) Sizing of the garments is all over the place, so trying to figure out how to outfit one's staff is a total roll of the dice. For example, I am a medium in the jacket, but have to wear an extra large in the softshell. Sizes should be consistent throughout the garments, regardless of the style. 4) The softshells did not arrive until ONE YEAR LATER!!! 5) The softshells omitted the white piping as ordered, so they did not match the jackets. 6) They refused to take responsibility for their mistake and re-run the order. Instead they blamed the Chinese factory, saying that the factory often combines "small orders" such as ours with other orders of the same pattern and somehow the factory did not use the correct color fabric. They also blamed Chinese New Year for massive delays. 7) They offered 6 new softshells at no charge, to be produced in the correct pattern, but these also arrived in the exact same INCORRECT pattern, and ANOTHER YEAR LATE!!! 8) Despite my repeated complaints, never once did they offer any sort of financial compensation of our $6,500. Instead, we got 6 "free" softshells that are as worthless as those they were meant to replace. 9) In addition to blaming the factory, they repeatedly reminded me how lucky we were to have a company like theirs willing to produce our order size. For the record, other companies I contacted willing to do our orders included Spyder, Patagonia and DNA. 10) To paraphrase what I wrote in an email to them, if they can't guarantee a product that will match what is ordered, then they better be prepared to keep running that order until they get it correct, no matter the cost. Rather, their practice is basically blaming others, telling the customer how lucky the are to have a small order even considered, and to be happy with more incorrectly produced items as a token apology. 11) Mountain Uniforms knows absolutely zero regarding customer service, instead offering lectures, finger-wagging and unusable consolation gifts. We are HUGELY DISAPPOINTED in the treatment we have received from them. Do NOT PAY them until you have your order in hand and it is correct. THE GOOD: 1) They spent many hours with me helping me design the patterns and select colors (blue and black with white piping.) 2) Their prices were competitive with other major brands, many of whom are willing to do an order as small as ours. 3) Logo embroidery is good, with high thread count and tight weaving."
