Reviews of Twin Cities Moving Systems Inc
"I had Twin Cities Moving Solutions pick up a refinished dining room table from Ackerman's Furniture. They did a great job. They covered and wrapped the table thoroughly so it could not be scratched in transit. The delivery guys were great and very nice. They were on time, efficient and very conscious of the table and our home. Communication was great. I suggest you reach them by text, it is a little quicker and more efficient (less phone tag)."
"BEWARE. Deceptive and ill-informing with their paperwork. Twin Cities Moving Systems employs negligent and deceptive movers. READ THE PAPERWORK THEY GIVE YOU THOROUGHLY, as it is not explained. I was told by our movers that it was to “confirm delivery was complete” AFTER they damaged 18 inches of my doorframe. I had a couch delivered and 18 inches of my doorframe was damaged. No padding was put up. At this point, no paperwork had been signed. The movers took pictures of their own damage and said it would be sent to claims “to be covered.” At the END of the process, I was given paperwork and told, “this just confirms the delivery was complete.” I signed it because yes, delivery was complete (just with damage). I get a letter in the mail from Mark Kreisler, Safety Claim Manager who informed me that, “a Property Damage Waiver was signed giving the crew permission to attempt delivery even though there was a good chance of damage occurring. BECAUSE OF THIS I MUST RESPECTFULLY DENY THE CLAIM (caps added for emphasis by reviewer).” First, why would I sign a waiver AFTER services are rendered? That is not how waivers work. Second, I was ill-informed as a consumer. I was told this was one piece of paperwork, but the gentleman didn’t go through it (as most people with CONTRACTS where one party can be deemed negligent or assume responsibility). Third, I was told TWICE by employees that this was a covered incident. Now Mr. Kreissler wants to fall back on his paperwork without holding his own team accountable. This is a SHAMEFUL, money centered, deceptive company. If you buy from a furniture store (e.g., Ashley Furniture), be sure to ask who the third party mover is. If it is Twin Cities Moving System, decline the delivery and find a way to pick up the furniture yourselves. It is entirely unethical to omit information when presenting an agreement and it’s entirely unethical to be untruthful about what is being signed. I have all the energy and time in the world to pursue this because the situation is wrong by principle. DO BETTER."
"I wish there was a 0 star option. They delivered furniture on behalf of Ashley Furniture to our home. They ran the couch into one of our doors, which stripped the screws in the top hinge and created a large verticals crack in the door. I submitted a damage claim, and after a week received a letter denying the claim. Mark Kreisler, their claim manager, said that he didn’t believe the damage was caused by them and that they wouldn’t be doing anything to rectify the issue. He said “I don’t believe that is what happened.” The damage was without a doubt caused by their delivery team, and now we have a door needing replacement. They contract with Ashley Furniture. If purchasing from Ashley, make sure they are not using Twin Cities Moving Systems to deliver your items. They'll do all they can to get out of covering any damage caused by their team. Avoid this business at all costs."
"Twin Cities Moving provided exceptionally poor service from beginning to end. They left a message scheduling my delivery for a date I was not available, so when I called to reschedule, they did not answer the phone and I was repeatedly sent to voicemail. I had to call five times over several days during business hours to speak with a person. In addition, I left two voice messages which were never returned. In finally speaking with a person, the delivery was supposedly rescheduled, but then I received an automated voice call and a text message for the incorrect date. In order to avoid incorrect delivery, I had to call twelve times over a week during business hours, left seven messages, and sent an email. None of the messages or email were ever returned. I finally reached a person the day it was supposed to be incorrectly delivered and confirmed the new scheduling date. He did not apologize for the failure to return calls and made it clear they do not return voice messages. When the team delivered the bedroom set, they ducked out quickly before I could tip them. As soon as they had left, I saw the extremely poor job they had done. The headboard legs, assembled by Twin Cities and not the manufacturer, were on both crooked and backwards, meaning that the side boards were bent to fit into the legs. Additionally, they had not finished securing the slats, but set them in the bottom without screwing them into place. They also had damaged one of the slats. When I called the delivery crew immediately to see if it could be fixed, they answered, but hung up as soon as I said my name and before I stated why I was calling. I called back right away and again twenty minutes later; I left two messages which were never returned. Thankfully, we were able to repair the damage ourselves. However, as a result of the poor care received, I called the furniture store I ordered the furniture through and highly recommended against ever using this company again. The furniture company representative stated these are known issues with the company, they have difficulty reaching the company themselves, and they are actively looking for other delivery options in the area."
"Story of how the Company fixed a problem that was their fault: Mattress was delivered on time. Nothing noteworthy there. The men in the truck were polite and apologetic, but absolutely refused to take the old mattress, even though it stated explicitly in three places of their work order that they were to do so -- even in a handwritten note that was highlighted. I called the company three times and left messages. I was not impressed. I was sorely peeved that they flat-out just would NOT do what their work order told them to do, and what we expected would happen when we bought the mattress. This was a BAD DEAL!! I posted two pictures. One is of our old mattress that was STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO PICK UP!! And the other is the driver's work order clearly showing in three places (and highlighted, handwritten) to pick up the old mattress. I pointed out to the driver that if they had room for the mattress they delivered, they had room for the old mattress. He said the truck was full and would NOT take the old mattress. Well, I am pleased to say that I did receive a call back, and the lady acknowledged that the delivery men indeed should have picked up the old mattress. She said she would need to check with the scheduler to see when they would have a truck in the area again, and call me back. At this point I was still doubting that anything would really be done. But to my surprise she did call back and scheduled a pick up. She also said that the delivery men's conduct would be addressed with them. In the end the same men arrived and took our old mattress, so I am impressed that Twin Cities Moving Systems kept their word and followed through with the full agreement. Good job!"
