"The school is pretty amazing however, I work here so I am biased. I worked in "big" schools for many years and since I am "older" I actually have a bit of experience to compare an institutions educational advantages and disadvantages. My kids attended k-12 and are now in college (and working) and doing very well. The students here have opportunities to participate in athletics and excel in academics. It is rural, however, many of the kids who are frustrated by this fact will probably gain an appreciation for this aspect later in life. MOST parents and students enjoy and appreciate Smith Valley School and are grateful for the opportunities it provides."
