While attending Galena I had some great memories that would never be forgotten. I sadly didn't have the opportunity to graduate from this wonderful school due to a out of state move and I regret it every day."

You can tell that the school has a great curlture just by how you are greeted at the office--always with a smile and willingness to help. My daughter has high aspirations for college scholarships, and I know Galena will help her achieve these aspirations."

"I am a freshman here, but i believe that i have already have the experience of a senior. the staff is amazing and you almost always get along with others, however some of the students here like to bully you which is a problem. But that is nothing compared to the school as a whole. the lay out isnt complicated, as i never got lost. its like a complete circle really. the programs are wonderful as i am a drama student, and the amount of things you get to do is endless. its a school that is always kept clean and maintained. and people you socalize with is really fun, because you see many kinds of people and their styles of attire, and prefernce of music or beliefs. i am a ounk rocker, and i found so many other follow punks to converse with and share my interests with. people are nice, other than the few bullies, which are two to the max. I love this school as is is IS a real high school"

"This is really a love or hate school, i feel as if you grew up around this neighborhood or this kind of environment you would fit right in and love it! However if you did not grow up here or you are not from this neighborhood, you will feel very out of place, and everyone does a good job to make you feel out of place. The people are really "nice" even though they have personalities of a cardboard box. The staff is great for the most part, the school itself is clean and well maintained, and the programs there are limited but great! The only problem you or your child may have with this school is the social aspect of it. If you do not fit in with the crowd don't expect to make friends or for people to treat you fairly."

"They have a great staff overall. Mr. Stuart, a counselor, is a great person to go to when in doubt. They have a great variety of classes. Also, their teachers are extremely helpful and prepare their students for college. The students have great study skills and obtain an incredible mindset for AP, P/SAT, and ACT tests."
