"This is a relatively flat, easy hike, although it is a little toasty without leaf coverage. The end is a little bit abrupt. It used to go all the way to Vista Park, but they have made it an end now. It is beautiful in its own right and very peaceful. At one point, you can hear the lapping of the lake on the shore, and it is very relaxing. Come prepared. It does not have a bathroom or drinking fountain. I would also recommend bug spray. You can fish from here, but you can NOT wade or swim because Maumelle Lake is a watershed of drinking water for most of Little Rock."
