Reviews
"Visited after an unfortunate weather event, and during rain, couldn't see entire museum. Will remember to check website prior to next visit! Trip was not a total loss because there were many displays describing natural history in Arkansas. Will definitely return to see all the displays and vignettes!"
"The stars in this review might be a bit unfair because the main museum was flooded out and we didn't get to explore it. Which didn't leave much else to do at this park other than walk around looking at the oil drilling equipment. Which was okay. Our explorations through some of the southern Arkansas State Parks was a bit hampered by all of the recent rains and flooding."
"This , by far, is the best state parks related museum I have ever gone to. The museum is vast. There's a section of it with the best elevator ride I've ever had. It caught me totally by surprise. You can spend hours there. The information is easy to digest and they invite.you to be hands-on and engage throughout."
"Absolutely loved this place. Outdoor exhibit goes quick but is pretty cool. The indoor exhibit is the bread and butter of this place. Its very informative and captivating. It's laid out in a way that keeps you engrossed in it all. Gift shop is nice and the lady working on this day was super sweet. Wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the entire place. We highly recommend visiting."
"This state park and museum is definitely worth checking out. The outdoor exhibit is pretty small and takes about 10 or 15 minutes to complete. It’s all paved and handicap accessible. The indoor exhibit is truly amazing and where you’ll spend most of your time. They did such a great job of creating a captivating experience. There’s so much information in the museum it’s almost overwhelming. There are some awesome interactive parts including a theatre, elevator (Time Machine) and more as well as a section for kids. Children ages 4/5 or older would enjoy the museum. I’d recommend setting aside 2 hours or so to do the inside portion of the park. Like most parks the museum is free and open to the public. Make sure you check the Arkansas State Parks website to find out the hours of operation."
