EGGscellent breakfast and Lunch 2534 East Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121

"My friends and I decided to grab breakfast yesterday, but I doubt I'll be returning to this place. The cinnamon roll was tasty, and it's complimentary with a Yelp check-in. We all checked in for the free cinnamon roll, but our waiter didn't speak English, so we were assigned a new one. After a 30-minute wait, we received one of the three rolls and our drinks. Another waiter brought the second roll and informed us that we could only have one per table, but he gave us an extra one. We explained that these were from Yelp check-ins, but he insisted we couldn't have the third one. We let it go and proceeded to order our food, waiting another 30 minutes for it to arrive. When our food finally came, some items were cold. It seemed like they waited to bring everything out at once, resulting in some dishes being cold while others were hot. My breakfast burrito was awful - lacking flavor, cold, gritty eggs, and hardly any potatoes. The waiter offered to have it remade, but the replacement potatoes were also hard and cold. The new burrito arrived close to closing time, but I was so put off by the experience that I decided not to eat it. My friends were ready to leave, and I informed them I didn't want it, but was told I still had to pay for it. I left the untouched burrito on the table. Our waiter was rude and unhelpful, refusing to split the bill onto two cards. Threatening to call the police if we didn't pay, we requested to speak with the manager, who ignored us while on their phone. Eventually, we were allowed to pay separately, but the whole experience felt rushed and unpleasant. This was the response to the review I left on yelp from the business owner. He assumed that I wanted the meal free and that is why I complained about the food. Keep in mind I never once asked for a free meal rather than that it be remade. By this response, it is evident what kind of establishment is being ran here. Maybe black people aren't welcomed just because we make an opinion."

"On our recent trip to Las Vegas, we decided to go off the beaten track (also known as the strip) to visit some of the local favorites. EGGscellent Breakfast & Lunch was one of these stops, and was it worth the trip! (By the way, public transportation in Las Vegas is off the chart organized and runs very efficiently). The atmosphere inside lets you know right away this place is local friendly. A big shout out to Uriel, our server. He was prompt and on point with suggestions and keeping our glasses full throughout our wonderful meal. I tried the healthy avocado toast, which was topped with 2 poached eggs, cooked to gooey perfection. The avocado spread was thick and hearty, and the micro greens add a touch of bitterness to add to the flavor. We also tried the Carnivoro Omelette, a huge four egg omelett stuffed with all the meats one would expect. This one was served with a shell of cheddar cheese melted to the top of the omelette. The nice thing about this was it was not greasy, just pleasantly gooey. The omelette was served with toast and breakfast potatoes, which completed the breakfast. However, when we see a chili on the menu, we have to give it a try. It was topped with onions and cheese, and packed a punch! The flavors in the chili were very subtle, but we could taste every flavor. Overall, I would highly recommend The EGGcellent Breakfast and Lunch Diner for a treat that is off the strip as well as off the chain when it comes to flavors and service, we will be back!!"

"Nothing like the pictures online seemed but really was a great stop. I wish they had more meatless options though. Also wish the waiter could've walked through specials and the menu a bit, they have a signature dish but I would have never known if I didn't ask. The bread box dish was great but they really should do something besides stuff it with tons of spinach that's not cooked. They could make that dish absolutely amazing if they just revisit it and add something else."
