"My partner and I were so excited to try this place. Our excitement was quickly replaced with seething disappointment. We came when it opened at 11am and instead of being greeted with a welcome, or hello the server shouted "Two?". And proceeded to gesture vaguely at a table. The server was cold and despondent. They barely acknowledged our table (we were 1 of 2) and when it came time to take our order. They came and passive aggressively stood there without a word waiting for us to order. It took a while for our water to come out. And we ordered coffee and beer at the same time. When the water was brought we were greeted with a snarky "we are working on the beverages". It was another wait before our drinks came and there was a fly on top of the beer. We were very kind and patient. Having worked in the service industry I try to be understanding. However the cold service was only compounded on by the long wait for our food. We ordered the sampler plate to share. It was $58.99. This wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't dig in to find the mashed potatoes were *instant*. They were gummy and tasted like a box. The red cabbage and sauerkraut likewise tasted canned. The spaetzle was greasy and unpleasant. The schnitzel was dry and tough. The bratwurst was ok, not bad really. The patty was also just ok. The mushroom gravy was thick and had no flavor, it was very reminiscent of packet gravy. The atmosphere was modern, and ok. The bench I was sitting on has crumbs and was dirty. Additionally, another table came in and had a way nicer greeting and service than us. I honestly wanted to cry by the end of it because I didn't know what we did wrong. I felt so uncomfortable. The server was unpleasant and disingenuous. We will never go back. The total bill was $85. It was the first time in my life that I debated on whether or not to leave a tip. And it wasn't a good feeling to leave as little as we did. We were treated poorly and it reflected on the bill. I just keep thinking, what did we do?? Anyway, don't go here. Go to Hoffbrau House! It might be gimmicky, but the food is good and the atmosphere is always fun. Plus, way better price point for their food."
"This has a good local restaurant feel, but was well cleaned. There was one server working and she was fast and attentive to all tables in the smaller diner. Great German cuisine! Would recommend."
"*GERMAN APPROVED* I got nostalgic eating here. The sample platter is filling, delicious and very authentic! The sausage was one of the most delicious I've ever had. I've not been back home since before covid started and this made me tear up and homesick. I will definitely return here but instead of the black Forest gateau (which is the only food I had that didn't taste like home, in my opinion) I'd try the Strudel, which looked like my mom's. Very excited to have found a place that is authentic to home and not pretentious. I wish their beer selection was wider and that the service was a bit more attentive but very kind and I'm looking forward to going back."
"* Update- I had to back for another round of perfectly cooked Snitzle and once again it was spectacular. This time I asked how they manage to get the dish perfectly golden brown and crispy without the breading falling off. I was told it’s because they use a true authentic home cooking method which is pan fried unlike other places that use a deep fryer. They also make their spetzle noodles from scratch every day which is very hard to find! I got some better shots of the interior this time. It’s soooo cute inside here! was craving some spaetzle and this place knocked my socks off! The food was quick, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was unexpectedly awesome its super cute inside."
"Best place in Vegas for authentic German food and good to see this place has made it through the pandemic unscathed. You can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu as they are all tasty. We spent roughly $85 before tip for 3 adults and 1 kids meal (no drinks)."
