"Absolutely the best oyster bar in LV. I've been to many, including the ones in Sunset in Henderson, the original Palace Station oyster bar, the oyster bar in SumCoast, and a few non-casino oyster bars (some have closed by now) and have come to the conclusion, that this one is the best. The wait sucks but it is well worth the hour+ wait. Once you are seated you are greeted by the serving staff and cook. The food is prepared right in front of you. Every staff AND cook I've had the pleasure to be paired with was absolutely delightful! Although they are constantly on their feet, running here to there, serving and cooking all through their shift, they are very polite, helpful, and willing to be there with a smile! Idk how they keep it up, but they do! The atmosphere is what you'd expect a "bar" would be. Bar with highchair seating. Though, I wish they'd stray away from the theme because there would be more seating and less of a wait. But it does add to the trueness of the name. Still, I had to drop a star for that rating. All-in-all I do give the Oyster Bar in the Durango Casino 5 Stars. My wife and I have dined here many times since they opened and we will continue to for sure!"
"Oyster lovers looking for a spot to enjoy some delicious and tasty oysters, this might be the place at Durango Casino. Without question, these were the largest and most flavorful oysters I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten plenty. I ordered a dozen along with a shrimp cocktail and a bowl of Cioppino. The shrimp were ok as was the Cioppino . However, I did find the shrimp a bit bland and chewy and the fish in the Cioppino a little overcooked. Although, the Cioppino’s broth/sauce was ok it fell well short on flavor. My server “CC” did a great job. She was attentive and provided outstanding customer service. The counter remained busy and every chair filled throughout my time there and she managed to assist all of her customers. Overall, the food was good but not great. However, I do plan on returning to see if my first visit was just an anomaly or an everyday standard dining experience."
"The food was great. The service was excellent. Didn't feel rushed or anything. The seating is at the bar, so guests need to be at least 21 yrs old. Line wasn't too bad, but I know it can get long, so expect some wait if you do go. Wait is worth it, though. They only have about 20 seats or so, but it does move fast. Portions are pretty decent for the price, and the seafood tasted pretty fresh. Wait, for food wasn't too long either. Everyone was nice and friendly. The menu was small and simple. We'll be back again."
