Reviews of North American Flight Control
"Let me start by saying this was one of the best decisions I could’ve possibly taken to enhance my career in the aviation industry as well as in selecting a dispatch school. I successfully completed my training and I’d highly recommend attending NAFC not just because of the experience-rich and highly knowledgeable instructors, the lower overall course fee etc., but also because of their open, approachable and awesomely supportive attitude. Dispatch course is content heavy and requires one’s utmost dedication and I had some challenges, loss of confidence and motivation halfway through the course. In my case, trip planning/routing, IFR charts were some of things that required additional practice and attention. I’m thankful that Chris was highly accommodating and coached me for this even beyond my class completion. The topics I dreaded once have now become my passion. Lastly, I can confidently say based on my personal experience, that the faculty here will definitely go above and beyond to help you in clearing the required examinations and creating an overall successful dispatch knowledge base for future interviews. The only condition is that one has to show an equal amount of eagerness to learn and reciprocate appropriately."
"This is the correct place if you wish to complete your flight dispatcher training and obtain your certificate. Chris and Tom will provide you with the greatest instruction available. Classes are easy and entertaining to attend because of their enthusiasm for aviation."
"Anyone looking to get their Flight Dispatcher certificate, this is the school for you! NAFC is the way to go no doubt about it! Im a New Yorker, I had a few options around me and not one bit do I regret coming to NAFC. The staff really puts their time and effort into teaching you. They have tons of resources available for you to study. The trips they organize really help you understand what really happens in aviation industry and how people come to together to ensure safe flight operation. I graduated NAFC with Knowledge, Experience and Connections! Thank You NAFC !!!!"
"I've been in the aviation industry (in various forms) for 13 years. I've had various instructors and mentors in the industry that have helped shape my foundation and growth. What Chris has created is something special, and I'm happy to say that his team is part of that group now. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Chris cares about each student, and will allow them the chance to show what they've learned in class by use of his conversationalist teaching style, and each student will get the opportunity to apply that knowledge to real world phenomena, which is very refreshing to say the least."
"I live in Los Angeles, and I drove to Minneapolis, Minnesota in January of 2023 for the 5 week, in person Aircraft Dispatcher class at North American Flight Control. This was one of the best experiences of my lifetime. We not only received great preparation for the Aircraft Dispatcher practical examination, but we received an education with the practicality of dispatching for a part 121 air carrier in mind. This included the use of modern “educational” op-specs, reading the weather and aviation meteorology, weight and balance, FAR/FC and FAR/AIM education, Flight Planning, Dispatch releases, and general aviation knowledge. Our “educational” aircraft was the Embraer 175…which is really practical since most regional airlines where Dispatchers begin their careers use the Embraer. We toured the National Weather Service office in Minneapolis, the Airside Operations office and airport at MSP, and spent two hours shadowing a Dispatcher at Endeavor Air: all arranged by the School. The school arranged for me to take my Practical Examination with the MSP FAA Aviation Safety Inspector, and I passed. The practical was 9 hours long, and at the end of it, I felt prepared to take the next step in the learning process for a career as an Aircraft Dispatcher. And one final item: the school arranged for us to have interviews with a major airline in the 3rd week. I had a job offer in hand at the time of graduation conditioned on passing my practical and obtaining my certificate. IMPORTANT NOTE: Take your ADX (Written Knowledge Exam) as early as possible and consider that this will take significant study time on your part."
