"I loved going to blind Inc in summer 2018. Friendly staff and lots of great students. Learned a lot of life skills. The mansion type building is beautiful and has lots to do for blind and low vision people of all ages."
"The English Gothic stone mansion was designed by Hewitt and Brown in 1914 at a cost of $300,000. The interiors were designed by Charles Duveen of London. Occupied by Charles Stinson Pillsbury until his death in 1939. Following his death it was sold to Northwestern Luthern Theological Seminary. Later saved from demolition in the late 1960's by anonymous donors and occupied by Mpls Society of Fine Arts, later sold to Carmichael Lynch Advertisind who gifted the mansion to The Guthrie Theater's Campaign for Artistic Excellence in 1990. Later sold to Blind, Inc."
"Absolutely wonderful place to get training. What is a student here back in 2011. I also worked here for about three years. All of the instructors are excellent. You will leave here having a much better attitude toward your blindness. The skills you will learn in orientation and mobility, braille and technology, cooking and home management, and industrial arts will benefit you the rest of your life. I recommend anybody who has questions about blindness to stop in."
