"This school has been my home for the past 11 years and I couldn’t ever believe that there could ever be anything wrong with how my school is run. Everyone is kind, loving and Jesus-caring. My teachers have shaped who I am and what I will become in my walk with Christ and my life. Overall I love this school and I would never trade my experience here"

"I had went to Hope with high hopes that they were what they claimed to be. A religious, caring school that was concerned with helping families and providing a better education and experience for families of all different arenas. But after the three week process of me and my children spending much time and effort we were simply rejected and treated like garbage. Our spirits broken and left wondering how people can be so very cruel. The school officials were blatantly told of our experience dealing with their previous school within the initial application of my child being jumped, them not recieving homework and the staff being unresponsive to concerns. The staff themselves lower school admission counselor Adi and Kayla seen the old school not respond to requests for transcripts and me have to physically go to the school and retrieve them myself. Hope academy had proof that my children were removed and placed into another school at the end of the school year for 35 of the 45 days that their previous school had them marked absent. The other days missing were due to family emergency and a funeral out of state that were reported excused. Any logical human being could clearly know and see that if it was that my children really missed two full months of the school year that I would not still have them in my custody and the school officials at Hope chose to look past proven evidence to punish and deny children who really really needed them and deserved a safe positive education. Upon assessment day the upper school admission counselor Kayla placed my just barely 11 year old daughter in a closed off room with two other high school school students who spent the entire three hours cussing and goofing off around her as she was expected to give them exemplary test scores in an environment with absolutely no adult supervision. They then proceeded to tell me that my daughter who has never shown any signs of needing additional help in school, that she is considered a title 1 student that they just do not have space nor time for in their school. She was pretty much below their standards and just as the other parent stated in her review Hope is simply a guise collecting scholarships and state funding in portrayal of the lord and many things they claim to be yet are not. The director of admissions Cara put me in the same closed off room they put my child in today, to admit that yes, what they were doing was wrong but because the previous school did not get back to them and admit that they did not withdraw my students even after multiple requests until August of 2019 and they had proof of all of this that their hidden board of decision makers decided to judge me and my family and refuse them an education just as the public school system had done. They also had exemplary referrals from their teachers but they just weren't up to par for Hope. They had their transcripts a couple of days after our initial application and could have seen the supposed days of absences for their denial and saved us the hassel of coming on tour, looking forward to attending, having my kids test, having me miss work to attend parent meetings with people who were going to turn around and treat not only me but my children like unwanted trash. I went to the placement center today after Hope denied my children and there is not a school around who has space for the both of them. Not their home school Barton, and not even the school they came from. Hope Academy really really left us down and out. Literally and figuratively. There's nothing hopeful, holey or right about their process or anything that they just put us through after already being through it. In the bible I thought it was said that though shall not judge and that though shall not have to be percieved as perfect to be accepted in the kingdom of the Lord. Hope Academy should feel very ashamed of themselves and I would not ever want my children anywhere they were not wanted so at least if nothing else they let us know that much after three weeks of additional unnecessary pain and suffering."

"I had taken my daughter out of two schools for three reason. Two of the reasons had to do with academics. I pulled my daughter out of the Catholic school because they allowed a 5th grade teacher to teach math at the 3rd grade level not in accordance with the MN standards. I pulled my daughter out of the next school because she was majorly injured and at that school 33% in considered a C grade. My daughter was denied acceptance into Hope Academy solely on the basis of her math test that Hope Academy gave for Upper School. This school is only out for those that will make them look good. They are not at all for reaching those in need. This school is only about getting funding. I would not call them followers of Christ because their behavior displayed otherwise. My daughter had great recommendations as well. My daughter does not cause problems in school and I’ve never received a compliant about her behavior. Hope academy only cares for those who fit their mold."

"Amazing school! Ministry and missions minded, Christ-centered education, supportive of the whole family no matter your background. Would give 10 stars if I could. Our oldest attends here and so will our younger kids once they reach Kindergarten age."
