NWPHS Acme is a school located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, United States. The Headwaters cohort for 9th-grade students teaches the skills needed to be successful at project-based learning. Our curriculum combines advisory, inquiry-driven project-based learning, interdisciplinary seminars, and overnight expeditions to help students become independent learners with the skills to succeed in the 21st century.

As a tuition-free public charter school authorized by Bethel University, we offer a safe, caring, welcoming, and inclusive community for no more than 185 students. Our focus is on developing post-secondary competencies such as Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, & Citizenship. We offer a positive path for building real-life experiences and partner with organizations in the community to expand learning opportunities for our students.

At NWPHS Acme, we believe in scaffolded learning situations, exemplary project process modeling, and student risk-taking to teach life skills needed in the real world. Our advisory groups are multi-aged classrooms with a maximum ratio of 16 students to 1 teacher, and students stay with their advisory throughout their academic career. We also offer Headwaters, an advisory experience designed to help minimize 9th-grade shock and develop skills for the 21st century.
