Aux Arc Park (South Park) is a beautiful tourist attraction located in Ozark, Arkansas, United States. The park is situated on the shores of Ozark Lake in the scenic Arkansas River Valley. The name "Aux Arc" originated from French explorers who mapped the area, meaning "the big bend" to describe the bend in the Arkansas River. The name was later simplified to "Ozark," hence the name for Ozark Lake.

The park offers spacious and shady campsites with electric and water hookups, three picnic shelters with electricity that can be reserved, a dump station, two playgrounds, hot showers, and a boat ramp. Ozark Lake stretches 36 miles along the Arkansas River, with varying shoreline landscapes from steep bluffs to open farm lands.

Nearby in the town of Altus, visitors can explore two of the largest wineries in the state with picturesque grape vineyards reminiscent of the European Rhineland. Popular activities at Aux Arc Park include boating, hiking, picnicking, and fishing for catfish, bream, crappie, and bass. The surrounding public land also offers opportunities for hunting deer, quail, squirrels, rabbits, dove, wild turkey, ducks, and geese.

"Corp of Engineers park with water and electricity. We stayed in spot E1 which is the furthest from the entrance. Super-spacious sites. A nice place to relax! E1 is the closest to the bathrooms/showers - just a short walk. You can let your gray water drain at night into the grass. 2 dump stations on the way out."

"This is a very nice park. We enjoyed our stay. You can fish, watch the barges come through, or just relax. Many people talk about the trains that come through. I think if you're in a tent you will hear them, but in our trailer we didn't even notice them. Beautiful area with playgrounds for the kids and bathrooms with showers. Nice paved roads and pads. They have fire pits and picnic tables at each site. There is also a boat launch."
