"The setting was beautiful and the restrooms were pretty clean. Some repairs needed."
"Not Dog Friendly. Was empty in Nov. Near highly-recommended Aux Arc, Lake Ft. Smith and Mt Magazine parks. Would not be private if busier as sites are in front of each other. They do have the rare Double Site. Not much to see or look at here, but I'm used to the Arkansas beauty!"
"This is new for me, but a location where my wife spent some of her teenaged years. Looks to be well maintained. Very quiet and easy going. Water was fast over the rapids. There used to be a pavilion there, but the roof and uprights are gone now. Restrooms were closed, so I am unable to speak about their status. Really nice visit with wife and grandsons."
"Peaceful setting along the river. Great waterfalls after a good rain. Be prepared to scramble over rocks along the way to the upper falls. Not the best hike for dogs or small children."
"Love this campground! Honestly so stunning. Went once as a teen and again recently for a birthday trip and just...wow! We went before the season really kicked off, so our area felt really secluded and everything was in bloom for spring. There are outhouse style bathrooms by the campgrounds, but if you’re willing to walk a short distance the visitor bathrooms are nice. FOREWARNING: There is ZERO signal once you reach the camps. My friends and I all have different carriers and no one had service the entire weekend. Might be worth investing in some walkie talkies if you’re in a group. (Outside of a few communication complications though, it was kinda nice.) Only negative I had: the shower is not really for showering —it’s probably more for rinsing off. It’s on a timed system and the button is on the far wall, so you have to walk back every few seconds to press it. May not be a big deal to most campers, but if showering is a big deal to you, keep it in mind."
