"Trail isn't marked, followed the creek about .75 mile in and didn't see it but we had kids that had fun playing in the creek along the way."

"There is no trail marker. There's just a whole in the vegetation and on the other side there is a trail under the forest canopy that follows the creek. It felt very serene and peaceful. If you take the trail that starts to go up the mountain you're on the Buffalo River Trail not the Leatherwood Creek Trail. It's a easy peaceful walk along the creek bed. About a mile or less up the creek you follow a ravine on the north side of the creek up a steep hill to find Balance Rock Falls. If you pass the turnoff your trail will fade away and you know you went too far. There was pink plastic tape wrapped around a couple trees that let me know that was the ravine to go up."
