"Alright. Okay. No kidding - After seeing past reviews, I was thinking that I should cancel what my insurance scheduled me for transportation. (By the way, this was a round-trip ride from FARmington - South, to downtown St. Paul Medical. Not just a quick jaunt.) Okeedokee. Let's break down why the 5 points (deserved) review, and why I would recommend this company, after due-diligence : First off - Calling on Labor Day, at lunch time, I was concerned to confirm my ride for the following morning at 8:30 a.m. Having never had this company pick me up before, and with the preceding reviews, I was understandably concerned. ~ Answered my call warmly, and assured me that my ride was scheduled as planned. Repeated back exact details. Assured me that the driver would call me in the morning to re-confirm my pick-up. ~ Driver arrived early for initial pick-up. If any of you can appreciate the timing factor of getting ready in the morning, hoping the driver will be there, but not wanting to be stressed with anxious calls - advice : call ahead the day before, and then after confirming everything, keep your phone handy and be pleasantly relieved. ~ Dropped me off early at my scheduled appointment, and told me to call/text when I was ready to return. Not certain if this is how they want to do every transportation round-trip. This worked out better than just fine. My appointment was fluid in timing, as in "oh, wait, hurry, wait ..." (aren't all medical appointments?), and so I was more than happy for the 20 minute response to return to pick me up, when I initiated the return time AFTER my appointment had concluded. Well done. Meanwhile, the (apparent new - based on former reviews?) ownership kept in contact with me from the beginning to end. Seeming to genuinely care about the process. Having had a plethora of transportation companies - good, some not so - that were assigned by insurance ... My first round-trip experience with this was well fulfilled. Please note: This is my first Google review, that I can recall. Nothing other than wishing to offer honest feedback prompted me to give this review, for what seems like an under-dog that is bouncing back from previous harsh reviews. Professionalism, promptness, kindness, consideration and smiling eyes deserve mention - Abdi (Please forgive me if I've misspelled your name). You are brilliant, and a kind soul"
"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! No star if possible. Used twice and each time they were over an hour late! Was late for both of my Dr. appointments. Operator was rude, disrespectful, and hung up without ever answering my questions. Extremely outdated cabs. No website. No technology (camera, screen for fare, not even a GPS system) in car. Also no calls or texts that the ride is even showing up, definitely no call to inform they will be late. Please save yourself a terrible experience and use ANY other service!!"
"Awful transportation service!! Do not ride with these guys! They were late picking my and my kids up so it made us late to my sons appointment. Then when picking us up for ride home they kicked us out of the car that was supposed to give us a ride back because there wasn't enough room in the car because they were also picking up another client. So then we waited about 40 minutes for another ride when we were told it would be 10 minutes. Then we getting in the car to drive us back home it almost got us in a car accident!!! I refill never ride with this company again. I do not feel safe riding with them at all!!!"
"Terrible company. My first two rides the driver showed up late. I was late to my appointments by over 10 minutes each time. Today, my driver never showed up. I called the company and they told me that he was there earlier and tried reaching me through the phone which was an outright lie. I was waiting in front of my apartment before the driver was even scheduled to arrive, even knowing that he would be over 30 minutes late, and I never once received a phone call."
"I was told they were scheduled to pick up my son between 2-2:30 for a medical appoint that starts at 3:30 that is a 50 minute drive. The driver showed up at 2:45, which almost certainly will make my son late for his appointment. The driver specifically stated he knew my son had a 3:30, so this wasn't an unknown time frame. No phone call was made to let me know they were running late. When the driver did arrive, he called me. He seemed very confused that he would need to get my son "door to door," meaning he'd need to make sure he got into the appointment. I'm hoping that goes well.... My son is coded as needing this type of assistance for safety reasons and I'm guessing that is why Flying Eagle was used instead of a regular cab company. We have reoccurring rides set up through them, so I am hoping this is just a bad first day - judging from the other reviews I am not feeling optimistic. Edited 8/21: Awful. Never came to pick up our child at the end of the appointment, so they left a child with known safety concerns sitting stranded across town from us. It took MA an hour to get another ride out there. This company should be out of business."
