"All the positive reviews are from people affiliated with the company. They currently have an F rating with the Better blBussines Bureau . Avoid Avoid Avoid. Avoid this dealership, Took my nephew to look at a car he found online. Found the car looked at it and it was rough but went inside to find the sales staff. What I found was two very young guys dressed like they were headed to the beach tank tops and shorts. I tried to look past this and we still went out to look at the car with them. The car was from Ohio and they tried to sell on the fact that it would have less rust on it then because it was from Ohio ( Apparently they have no knowledge of the salt belt). The car we looked at didn't have a lot of visual rust that's only because they spay painted over the rust on it along with many other cars on the lot. Took the car for a test drive stepped on the gas and almost nothing happened likely a major transmission issue. Brought the car back and said no thank you and explained the problem. The two sales staff then ran out to the car and thrashed on the car in the parking lot. After they were done I was talking to my sister and nephew in the parking lot one salesman came up to me to argue that the car was fine and tried to tell me that the issues was only because the car was a 4 cylinder. Aside from an unprofessional sales staff I would describe most of the cars on their lot as car that were traded in to better dealerships for maybe 2 or 3 hundred dollars above scrap prices ($500 ) that are running and driving. Little is done to cars to prep them for resale ( aside from spray painting over rust ) they still want 2 - 3 thousand dollars for them. I fully expect them to tear apart my review and act professional but they were anything but the day I was at their dealership. They could not have been anything more but sleazy carsalesman that give the good ones a bad name. Lots of better places to spend your money in the Twin Cities do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership. Also if you look at the positive reviews you will find that they are made by people that either work at or affiliated with the dealership."
"One of the best used car dealership around have affordable vehicles and great staff that’s honest they don’t sugar coat nothing your buying a car for 2000$ you can’t expect it to drive like a 50000$. Car they let you take it to a ppi and the only bummer is no in house financing but for the prices being so fair it’s easy to just USA credit card definitely check them out for any budget they have your car the manager Nick is amazing"
"Buyers Beaware! They sold my family an unsafe vehicle. A 2009 Ford Escape with a bad tyrod. It was not safe to drive and they were aware there was an issue and yet sold it anyway. They do not disclose the problems they are aware of. The tyrod snapped and the entire wheel went flying off. When we called they failed to take responsibility and said as is. We are stuck with a costly $1500 repair bill. Bad business and they won't have customers return."
"Clean cars, good prices, very friendly staff. They were willing to work with me on a price that I found very fair and they had a great selection of affordable vehicles that suited my needs. Staff wasn’t pushy like you get sometimes at the usual auto dealer, but this isn’t your usual dealer. They gave me my space, let me browse and when I needed help they were there to answer all my questions. The process was super easy. I’m definitely getting my next car from here too."
"If I could give 0 stars, I would. Buyer BEWARE when buying any vehicle from these guys! Unfortunately there is no real protection for MN buyers when buying used cars that are marked "as-is". This is unfortunate and MN is one of a very small number of states that don't protect it's consumers. Auto dealers like Big Man Motors are taking advantage of this and bringing in autos from other states and selling them here - taking advantage of it's MN citizens and putting them in danger and making our roads unsafe. This needs to change! First, the front doors were locked but the open sign was on... so we had to walk around to the back and I walked into the garage. The man who ended up being Nick, the owner seemed genuinely put off that we walked in. He took us out to see some cars and he steered us toward this one and he touted that the car just came in, was in excellent shape, well taken cared for and would last our daughter through college. We took it for a test drive and when we got back I asked if he would to lift it up for me, he refused and said that they were just too busy. We took the car in 2 days after we bought it for an oil change and the shop gave us the bad news when we picked it up. The FRAME had THREE HOLES in it from rust deterioration. There was a leak coming from the front end (the engine was wet) but they weren't sure what it was or where it was coming from (without tearing it apart). The dealership had replaced the fuel injectors so they definitely knew about the frame issues and had simply lied to us. This car was unfit to be on the road and a danger! I could tell by sight (on the day we bought it) that the tires were older but had no idea how bad they were. We discovered that the car's tires had the belt plies or steel belts showing on the inside of the tires. This is a safety hazard! The mechanic at our auto place asked us where we bought it and he said, "Oh man... they did the same thing to me! Now, I hear this about them all the time... they really rip people off. This sort of business needs to be stopped!". DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLES FROM THESE GUYS!!!!!! Big Man Motors is performing slimy business activities in the sales of their vehicles. They lie, short-cut and put unsafe cars onto MN highways. You've been warned!"
